Weather looks great ... anyone out?
In contrast to last weekend the weather this weekend looks set to be warm and dry. So, has anyone got any plans for a sub 24 hour trip or is it working/shopping/DIY for everyone?

I believe they do deliver ... on certain products. It tends to say on the item whether they'll deliver it or if it's in store only.

Yea I thought the camo one looked well considering the price ... the insulation must be some benefit.

Re: Hammocks.
Right Pete, the ones with the 3 layer bottoms are the Green Hornet which only seem to be left in odd colours. The other option would be just the Jungle hammock which doesn't seem to be 3 layers although it does have a full net or the one below which has some bottom insulation built in and a full net...

Pete, I think I'm right in saying that if you get one from the link then you shouldn't need anything else ... seems to come with straps, etc.

Re: Remote canister gas stoves?
Well I splashed out but I didn't splash much ... £25. It's a Go-system Siroco 00, not the lightest thing in the world but it does seem very well made and importantly very stable. It arrived with a windshield too, which was an unexpected bonus :D http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kbVbmEdkO_M/TifeL_S3g-I/AAAA...

Re: Pied D'Elephant
Never tried one ... I think I'm put off as I like the feeling of pulling something over the top of myself. If I was going to buy a bag with only half it's quota of down, I'd buy a backless bag/quilt.

I've gone soft!
On my last couple of trips I haven't been carrying any spare clothes. No spare clothes means nothing to stuff a dry bag with, this in turn means no pillow. Problem solved ... this arrived today, 160g of self inflating pillowy goodness for the princely sum of a fiver ;) http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SKoI...
