Re: How long does it take for your mat to lose pressure?
I've found that Exped mats can leak very slightly through the valve. I recall Hux pointed it out to me and suggested smearing the valve plug with spit before inserting it (stop it at the back) and hey presto, it seems to work.

This was less than 1/3 of that Phil with the added bonus that it should only ever go up in value.Once again I was idly contemplating spending 10 large on a new (motor)bike the other day but I've cooled again seeing something like that...

Paddock stand's stopping it from sitting as it should in that pic Zip ... the good news is that it's now here and the odd news is that it transpires the bloke I bought it off used to live 50 yards from me in the Peak.(sidestand aside!)

As we've kinda just touched on analogue, I'm hoping for a cheery Friday as this is coming tomorrow. Apologies in advance as it's now a certainty that the next 4 weeks will be very wet. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBV8IfVKgku1_x4Px0b-TxAmX62ahVS-HNon8MCTJ4Si4YSGZKDupiyj...

Wait until the GR are out and I'll do you one if you're stuck. I think it's nice for kids if they feel like they're at least going in a similar direction to everyone else.

but some will rely on 'leftovers' from forestry harvesting and it's attendant impacts. As with other biofuels, there is the whole issue of using land just for fuel supply rather than food or just leaving it to nature. The last lot of wood to be cut from the forest here went straight to Drax. These ...

To be fair, I didn't mention 'townies' as plenty of folk regardless of where they live, could do a lot more (or at least something) to reduce their energy consumption. I'm also not saying that we don't need or shouldn't have turbines, WHAT I'M SAYING AGAIN is that we should perhaps consider their lo...

Re: Proposed Wind Farm near Glaslyn
If hoping to preserve a wild (relatively speaking) upland area makes me selfish, then I will wear that cap. Obviously, trying to generate ever increasing amounts of power so people can continue to enjoy their dishwashers, TV in every room and a shower twice a day rather than aiming to reduce consump...

Perhaps anyone who can see a wind farm could get free or cheap electricity as part of the settlement? If only John. I think one of the things that probably irritates those who do live with them, is that there's generally absolutely no benefit to the local community. In this specific case giv...

Re: Proposed Wind Farm near Glaslyn
However, just where is the energy we all need going to come from if no-one wants the production facilities (of whatever nature) on their doorstep? The community where my sister-in-law and her husband live campaigned against a small (4 masts) wind farm. They then approved a floodlit football pitch! ...
