Re: Bargain Alert Thread

Think that's the bar they use in their Compact Neo ebike
... and there I was thinking it was a loop type bar designed to be laid 'flat'. Guess I was right about the motocross thing then

I can't decide quite how that bar is meant to be orientated - looks more like a motocross bar

Re: How long does it take for your mat to lose pressure?

I've found that Exped mats can leak very slightly through the valve. I recall Hux pointed it out to me and suggested smearing the valve plug with spit before inserting it (stop it at the back) and hey presto, it seems to work.

Re: WRT kid friendly route

Stu, am I OK to hang on for the GRs and possible route before I buy the entry for my son ? Cheers
Come the first when the GR are released, the T shirt order also goes in, so I'll give you a shout a little while before with info so you'll have a bit of time to think / decide.

Once again I was idly contemplating spending 10 large on a new (motor)bike the other day but I've cooled again seeing something like that...
This was less than 1/3 of that Phil with the added bonus that it should only ever go up in value.

(sidestand aside!)
Paddock stand's stopping it from sitting as it should in that pic Zip ... the good news is that it's now here and the odd news is that it transpires the bloke I bought it off used to live 50 yards from me in the Peak.

As we've kinda just touched on analogue, I'm hoping for a cheery Friday as this is coming tomorrow. Apologies in advance as it's now a certainty that the next 4 weeks will be very wet. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBV8IfVKgku1_x4Px0b-TxAmX62ahVS-HNon8MCTJ4Si4YSGZKDupiyj...

Wait until the GR are out and I'll do you one if you're stuck. I think it's nice for kids if they feel like they're at least going in a similar direction to everyone else.

but some will rely on 'leftovers' from forestry harvesting and it's attendant impacts. As with other biofuels, there is the whole issue of using land just for fuel supply rather than food or just leaving it to nature. The last lot of wood to be cut from the forest here went straight to Drax. These ...

I've never tried it in 'gravel' mode but have always had fair to good results following a non-specific route.

To be fair, I didn't mention 'townies' as plenty of folk regardless of where they live, could do a lot more (or at least something) to reduce their energy consumption. I'm also not saying that we don't need or shouldn't have turbines, WHAT I'M SAYING AGAIN is that we should perhaps consider their lo...

Perhaps anyone who can see a wind farm could get free or cheap electricity as part of the settlement? Re: Proposed Wind Farm near Glaslyn

However, just where is the energy we all need going to come from if no-one wants the production facilities (of whatever nature) on their doorstep? The community where my sister-in-law and her husband live campaigned against a small (4 masts) wind farm. They then approved a floodlit football pitch! ...
