Have you looked at one of these

I’ve got one on the Fargo, I can fit my Rab sleeping bag plus a down vest in it or alternatively my Luna solo. Useful little thing.

FFS, it's getting worse. Do bikepacking event/race winners call themselves athletes? I never heard or read of such.
I digress / rant but what's 'ultra' anyway?

VERY cheery here, getting into the swing of the new job. Rather than swanning around theatres and film sets I’ve entered the world of 800 tonne shackles and other big lifting gear. Most of my new colleagues are from the Black Country or proper up north. Most refreshing :-bd oh and they are not put o...

According to Rodger Musson of wheel building book fame, straight pull hubs offer no advantages over normal spokes.
Oh I go for 32 spokes being 100kg, don’t whatever you do buy a 36 hole rohloff and expect to find many plus sized rims :-bd

Re: Toast

Ooh a review of toasters https://campfiremag.co.uk/best-camping-toasters/ Thinking about it a little deeper, I think a MSR REACTOR stove might be ideal for toasting duties, it's already got a diffused flame which glows red, pretty much bang on for toast duties and only around £150 with a pot, you'll...

Re: Toast

When I was traveling in my camper I had the same problem, sometimes you just want a nice slice of toast, marmite and a brew. I made a toaster from some wire mesh, a priamid which I filled with scrunched up wire. The wire inside would heat up and glow red on the gas, worked a treat. I reckon on of th...

I don't see a problem with anything in those amendments tbh - the provisions made are a lot better than I expected when I opened the thread. Agreed, the camping ones in particular seem to protect what the access rights were for in the first place. We should be be applauding the fact that you now ca...

Very minor cheery day, but I was teaching last lesson listening to a torrential downpour and thinking how lovely my waterproof jacket must look hung up in my garage.... Sadly, I was 15 miles away... Just finished watching that, gotta love Guy Martin. For those who don’t know of him before the tv stuff, he makes Chuck Norris look like a big girls blouse, after his infamous TT fireball crash I think he said something along the lines of ‘Aye, it did get a little warm’
