Well, according to a lot of motorists, all bikes are unsuitable.

On a more positive note, I'm changing jobs next month, so my 60 mile round trip, by car, becomes an 8 mile round trip by bike - mostly on reasonable cycle paths.

This discussion raises the issue of what constitutes good infrastructure, and I feel that secure storage for bikes is often overlooked. In larger towns and cities, it should be easier, due to the potentially higher demand for such facilities. Maybe councils could use some of the empty shop buildings...

As an aside, you can do a tour of the Paris sewers and, at the end, there are visitors toilets. (Proper flushing ones)

I couldn't help but think they should have just installed "long drops" and saved a fortune on plumbing

But that's a Route, you only really need one way-point for a route, the destination. The gps is deciding the way between them, like a sat-nav does in a car. If you've planned a route for a veloviewer tile bagging session, then that tends to be more specific than "start here and go to there&quo...
