For me it’s a bit of both. I still reminisce about the past, but now I’m on the wrong side of 60, I find myself thinking about all the things I want to do, as time is running out.
It also makes me realise that health is the most important thing you can have.

With a copy of Rough stuff cycling in the alps. Only part I know well is the Val d’ Anniviers, but it’s still really interesting.

Just pledged to buy the hardback book. I was looking at volume 1 only last night and thinking how good it is. Excited to see that there's another one on the way!

Lumicycle changed the game for me. I can still remember being blown away by the Ridgeway at night after saving up for my first set. I feel they should get more credit fir leading the charge (sic) on modern lights I remember getting the Lumicycle Halide light. Unbelievably expensive at the time, but...

Re: Future plans.....??
Several ideas bouncing around. Biggest one is early morning flight to Geneva, cycle along Rhone valley, then get post bus up to Grimentz and spend the week cycling around the Val d'Anniviers. I am usually out there this third week in January on a boys snowboarding trip, but highly unlikely to happen...

1) Foam grips for my Jones loop bars. I didn't realise what a difference they made until I rode another bike with normal lock on grips.
2) 2.8" G-One all round tyres on my Broken Road. Smooth and fast.

Re: Scores on the doors
This is probably a daft question, but do you need to have Strava to get this veloviewer thing to work? Yeah, I don't know of you need to have the paid Strava or not. I have paid (or rather had paid, cancelled today) You don't need the paid version, but you do have to pay for veloviewer. However at ...

How do you post the infographic? I have taken a screenshot, but not sure what to do with it🙄 Needs to be somewhere publicly accessible like Flickr, Imgur, etc. then you need the actual link to the shot not the page it sits on. Copy that link then click on the chain icon above this text box and past...

I had 2.8" Rangers on my Broken Road. Not a bad tyre, but l found them a bit draggy on road, so I changed to Schwalbe G-One allround. I intended to change back to Rangers for winter, but I love the G-One so much I have left them on. If conditions are really bad, I take my fatbike with Bud and L...

SKS fatboard, use it on my fatbike and plus bike. Attaches to seatpost in seconds. Doesn't stop all the sub standard, but good enough.

Crank Bros multi tool for me. Not sure whether it's the 17 or 19, but I've had it years and it still works perfectly.

£13's a little premium for one issue of a mag for this pensioner. Feel free to lob any old ones over if the alternative is lining the dog basket. Although obviously Stu's article alone will be worth the price of admission... I sent youngest to WHS in Brent X, but alas, they didn't have it. Therefor...

I use the free version and link to veloviewer, which costs £10 per year.
It's the veloviewer bit that I really like. Trying to expand my maximum square has made me explore so much more of my local area.

Give RGT a try. You need to have power meter (but your Wahoo will have). There are always three roads available free of charge I believe, including, Mt Ventoux, Cap de Formentor, the Peterbourg, Berrago Springs etc. For subscription (£7/month) you can organise meets etc, upload your own GPX and var...
