I always thought butt lube was obligatory when meeting up with others off the internet for nights in the forest... A generous application would certainly help quieten any mat-cheek interface

Re: What grease repack my bearings with.
You'll soon find out if there much water in there if you leave the bike standing for a while. If enough water has gotten past the seals it'll give it enough time to start to develop rust, then when you initially go to turn a wheel or crank it'll first feel stiff, then rough afterwards.. Will be even...

Re: Todays ride
A mad days riding in the Lakes on Saturday. All the carnage that's been in the news, we were out round Grizedale & Claife Heights riding in it! Driving over in the morn we knew it was going to be wet, but at this point the roads weren't flooded. So after a conflab we decided we'd do a sh...

Love the photos, would you mind pinging me them via email? I can't download them from where they're hosted as I need a yahoo account. The grizedale one showing the trees and the mist is mint, good job! Your photos have got me looking at train times again. Staveley is just over 3 hours from Euston, ...

Thanks again chaps..
Mark, that's great info about the zip, just what i wanted to know.
I'm a bit heavier than you at ~95kg, but hope i'll still fit a standard bag..
Sounds like i'll have to be at the ready with my cash to pounce at the next sale!

Thanks all.. Chew- Thanks pal, I'll have a look at yours for size, etc if that's ok.. Although would you say that a minim -5 rated bag would be more suitable? I don't think i've been out in anything lower temp wise & i get the impression that their ratings are quite conservative? Plus i'm a fair...
