Does sound marginally worse than being stuck in a noisy & dusty, albeit warm, cardboard box factory...

Hope you dry out soon Scott :)

Re: Shoes recommendation

Had some Giro Terraduros for a few months now & they've been spot-on so far. Did several hours hike-a-bike over some rocky ground the other week (including climbing up Red Screes from the Kirkstone Pass) that would have crippled my feet in my old Mavic Screes without too much pain. Not as stiff ...

Me & my beard were flying the Bear Bones flag at the 'Ard Rock Enduro 'All Mountain Challenge' this weekend.. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/313/20282592860_c3af260443_n.jpg Was uncharacteristically late setting off  so had to battle a bit getting through traffic on the first few sections....

Thanks Pirahna, might be a bit of a push for your wife to get me some too, i'll search out some Granny's Soa...

Re: Dreaded Bum Pain

I always used clean shorts every day and think mine were caused by washing powder. I changed to using natural soap and the problems stopped. Topical for me atm this, after a few longer rides recently it's looked like my ass has been set about with a cheese grater when i've never really had problems...

Re: The 'Find me this' thread.

Yes, but I need somewhere to put it...and I don't have 3 phase mains either. There's an inverter with it Chris, also know someone who might sell their Myford Super 7 inc base if you're interested.. Tbh i know they're one of those things that would be 'handy to have', but the reality is unless you'r...

Re: Lightweight tent with a midge lining recommendation

Anyone tried the likes of the Terra Nove Saturn hooped bivi? Seems quite an acceptable compromise between a bog standard bivi and one of the above lightweight tents. I've got a Terra Nova Jupiter, which i actually quite like. I just think of it as a bivi bag but the hoop gives you a little more hea...

Yep, Taylor is right with NY316016 The quarry is in 2 parts though, the easiest access is from the North, although you then can't get through to the other part without scuba gear! The other entrance is at the south west corner were the gap in the low single wire fence is, it's a bit of a scramble to...

Went for a potter in the Lakes at the weekend, including a mooch to Hodge Close. Some potential bivi spots in the 'Rave Cave', although would be a bugger getting your bike down there!!.. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/542/19080724923_8f4d63af23_z.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/410/19515109309_ae...
