wot they said
Personally I view a fire like i do riding on a footpath - best avoided but can be done responsibly or irresponsibly

there is never a reason for littering

Re: Newbie

In the last year I think I've seen maybe a handful of fully loaded tourers and even fewer lighter weight bike packing setups.
I had never seen one locally [ though i have ridden right past someone bivvying once]then one ride i saw three of them
certainly getting more popular as is cycling

Re: Chain guide on 1x setup?

use the pauls one as for some reason my 11 speed one on my FS [ clutch mech and narrow wide chainring] always drops the chain on rough stuff

Not needed on any of my other setups

they work IME but may not be needed

Re: Noooooooooooooo............... zippy tyres

Is it tubless compatible or not? Either way punctures are going to be a pain to deal with the “centrifugal forces create a self-cleaning effect.” Ah that explains why there is never any dirt or mud on my tyres or rims after a ride and why they are always dry when it is wet Like others i think its in...

Re: WTD - speedplay cleats

time pedals have loads of float - you can actually slide your foot sideways in them
I have a dodgy left knee and shimano used to give me grief

Bit pricey though compared to shimano

If its temporary - ie for the winter- i can lend you a set to see if you get on with them

That article was terrible as was the report as its nothing like hunger games. Looks pretty good really.
