Re: Oh Crap!

i survived! did the 24km course in just under 2 hours which i'm happy enough with considering it had 1000m of alt gain and was really technical. Good luck ... don't worry too much about the lycra, they might be all short course xc whippets and blow up after the first day* *Or they may not. hopefully...

Oh Crap!

.....am about to head-off for the afternoon start of a 3 day/4 stage mtb race (my first real race ever)! i went to register this morning and i've never seen such a lycra-clad bunch of xc-whippets in my entire life. these frenchies don't mess about it would seem. think i'll be the only one there on a...

thanks for the bite-sympathy folks!

by the next morning it had subsided and i was just left with a pain where the bite was (like i'd been hit in the head with a stick).

Long, hot and knackered!

Evening! On Friday I went on another 24 hour 'training trip' which turned out to be a real humdinger of a ride! I wanted to have the most riding time on both Friday and Saturday and so I set-off at 14:00 which would give me approximately 6-7 hours of solid daylight on each day and enable me to do a ...
