Not controversial at all...Dylan’s songs are better sung by anyone other than Dylan
Also Disturbed’s cover of Sound of Silence is better than the original, though that was obviously a red herring lryric

Thanks for the reminder, hadn’t realised the date on it as it’s my wife that’s self employed not me. Didn’t claim the first one as seemed ok then but not so good now. Cheers

Got a minion dhf 2.5 wt, pretty mint, never had sealant in, that the sort of thing? Ran it upfront for a while but now use a 2.6 forekaster instead.

Re: Before I buy a Lunar Solo...
Often see people slag off the pole but in actual use mine has been fine, it’s a little flexible if you stand there flexing it which I don’t . After it survived the worst weather I’ve ever camped in for a night on Rum I don’t worry about it. How would a stiffer pole help?

Re: ‘Gravel’ bikes?
My steel (+ carbon forks) CX/Gravel bike weighs in about 20.75 lbs, I'd be surprised if a Fargo could get anywhere near that? It doesn't make me faster in any way but a nice lightish bike just feels nice to ride in some ways, lively. If I already had a Fargo I liked I would probably just use that th...

Re: Wildcamping toxic?
I wrote this very nearly 5 years a go to the day. At the time some people threw the word elitest about, oddly, I think I was right You say elitist like that’s a bad thing  I certainly won’t be wild camping if anyone asks , in fact I will probably be cycle touring as that still sounds quite re...

Re: Anyone ridden the Reiver Raid route? Any good?
Convoluted about sums it up when I looked at the route. I live there about and I’ve probably ridden most of it but not as a route. The way it goes through my village was nuts when I looked.

Been listening to quite a lot of Warren Zevon lately, WIllie Nelson, same as In Reverse some early Depeche Mode (saw them live in 1984/5?), Pearl Jam's new album, caught up on Blues Kitchen podcasts...strong chance I am going for either Terrorvision or Shed Seven in a minute

So does that mean July 3rd wild camping is ok (Scotland)? No travel restrictions and no shared facilities I can't see why not.
Though it's a farce with other stuff I see going on anyway...

" aint they lovely.. I wasn't planning to collect via car"
Yeah apart from the car tax rate which is frankly eye watering!
Rekon weighs 935g on my scales so probably too heavy

Re: wtd: 27.5 plus tires (2.8")
I have a 2.8 rekon but 1. I'd have to weigh it 2. I don't like to condone people running non matching tyre brands 3. Of all the places on a bike the front tyre is the last place I'd try and save weight over function, besides a nice big gyroscope on the front can be a good thing 4. Since I think we b...
