Dee laughs at it (and the picture) but I'm quite proud of it and I like the fact you can hang it any way round you like. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0uSr8kvlRnoOQTn8hWgIEzpHNbt6HEZtDnmcPxi-GcW7K0k_iVMkOWN5kohmlNVgXm8HqtA_ACb88nJkcFwRJba0vE8n2P6BKUnbtNQvWDVwmMW5x__H4A...

Re: Frame BER or ok to fix?

Depending on the tube thickness and amount of corrosion present, it could be possible to drill the crack ends, weld the crack up and then apply a plate gusset either side of the head tube/top tube/down tube. Like the old turner fs bikes, Curtis jump frames or mongoose BMX frames... I've done that to...

Well done Reg for being able to drink when it's hot, it always makes me hotter so I stay away from it. Just a small one, and it'll be well chilled... Most major supermarkets are withdrawing disposable BBQs from sale Aye, that's cheery. Just the word "disposable" makes you want to c...

Re: Todays ride

More riding with the kids over the last 2 days. My wife was working away so we went to spurn point - camping for the night. Rode out to the lighthouse, which was great apart from the 1km on the beach each way... Pushing my daughter's bike in one hand, and my son's & my tandem in the other is a g...

Re: The end of gas stoves: a genuinely new approach to boiling water?

Might not last long enough, but how about using the air coming out of the sleeping mat to turbocharge your morning brew?

As a meths/gas/find a cafe (order of preference) person this isn't for me, but maybe there potential somewhere??

Re: Todays ride

Not the biggest or most impressive ride, but probably my favourite in ages. Rode from home with a friend of mine and our kids (2 11 year old boys and 2 9 year old girls) to our cow molly, a local maker and seller of amazing ice cream. Took the mainly off road way there and a different one back, ende...

Re: Vittoria 29+ tyres?

So, I'm an idiot and should follow advice more closely... Anyone want to buy a pair of non-tubeless (that sounds ridiculous) Bomboloni tyres??? As Liam said, way too loose to go up tubeless... £55 for them anyone???

Vittoria 29+ tyres?

Does anyone on here use Vittoria 29*3.0 tyres, specifically the Cannoli and Bomboloni models? There are some on eBay at an excellent price, and I was wondering what they were like for grip.... They work out at about £30 each posted which seems a bit of a deal for 29+. Even more specifically, has any...

Re: Wtd cheap normal mtb. Medium

Let me just check what brakes I've got to put on it, but something like £200-250 I think - if that's too much, then I'll see if I can dig out some older 1*9 bits to get it cheaper too.

I've a 26" wheel NS society - frame is allegedly a large but actually about a 17", could build it up with 1*10 gears, old but good bomber forks etc for a decent price

Excellent! Not sure if it'd be enough, but have you looked at something like the swytch e-bike kit to add to your existing bike?

Aaagh... Just typed out a big reply then pressed the wrong button... Basically saying that my dad bought an ebike, Ribble e-gravel one, last year and it's brought his cycling back to life. He got it for age related rather than specific health condition (he's 73 now) but is a massive fan and out most...

Re: What's your current dream bike?

Having bought and being very much impressed with a stooge dirtbomb, the next thing I'd really like is a matching tandem (29+, similar angles, cruiser style) but I think the custom cost would be silly.

Having just bought another bike (a stooge dirtbomb, as I may have already said once or twice coz it's great...)I need to make some garage space! Firstly: On-one Fatty Trail in blue, size large (20"). Currently has Bluto forks and a boreals 80mm front wheel, but could also have steel fatty forks...
