Re: Tents n'tarps
Stuart, I like the idea of using that netting for a myog project, is that material midgie proof?

Re: Tents n'tarps
Thanks all for the replies. When I'm out in the wilderness I like to stop earlyish to enjoy my surroundings, make dinner, and generally just chill (plus I'm usually knackered). If the bugs are bad, it's good to have a tent with bug protection to prepare food, check the map etc. A bivy with netting p...

Tents n'tarps
I'm trying my hardest to convince myself to buy an Alpkit tarp and bivy bag so I can reduce luggage size and weight (currently I use a Mini Peak 2 with custom inner). My only concern is from April to Sept it can be midgie hell up here in Scotland and it seems to me that a tarp offers little protecti...

Good point Ben. I was actually after the 'dual' version which is out of stock, but guess I can just use the normal version which as you say is in stock. Cheers.

Re: Smartphone mount advice?
Thanks Ian. Rudedog, that's the very one I am considering. I take it you're happy with it attaching to the bar/stem and its secure over rough terrain?

Re: Smartphone mount advice?

Re: Neoair v Exped
Yep, I've got both (Synmat UL7 and Downmat-lite). Both are 'small' which is actually quite long compared to a Neoair small. As a side sleeper they really are comfy. Does that also apply to this one: http://www.facewest.co.uk/Exped-Downmat-Lite-5.html It's a fraction of the cost of the other downmats?

Neoair v Exped
I've finally come to the conclusion that my TAR Neoair just isn't particularly comfy for me as I like to sleep on my side. Does anyone have any experience of the Exped range, and are they more comfy than the Neoairs?

Hydraulic brakes bleed kit
Can anyone recommend a decent bleed kit suitable for shimano brakes? I'm new to disk brakes (always had v brakes before) and reckon the rear brakes on my new bike need bled as they feel a bit spongey and have lost their bite, so now is the time to learn I guess!

Dry Bags
can anyone recommend any decent, cheap, small dry bags? i normally buy exped and have a few large sized ones but need some small (maybe 1 or 3l size) for going inside my frame bag and was wondering if the cheapo karrimor ones from sports direct are any good?
