Re: Todays ride

techno mail How do you get on with the butterfly bars? M Hey Mariner, I'm getting on with them great thanks, i increasingly suffer with numb fingers when riding flats so these were bought as a cheap alternative to Jones loops to give me more options. So far it's good news for me, i rode out for 3is...

Re: Todays ride

Had a quick 10 miles after work today with a monumental 40m of ascent! the joys of living in hull. Saturday night was a bit more fun, biked out of town to the Wolds near South Cave and had my first wild camp of the year. http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s480/puretechnohull/Mobile%20Uploads/201703...

Re: Yorkshire coast

Has anyone ridden the beaches on the Yorkshire coast? Basically south of Bridlington to Spurn Head. I know there's a couple of things that need watching out for or avoiding like a firing range at Great Cowden and the gas terminal at Easington but haven't really looked further into it. Looking at St...

Not until April 1st when the GR are released, however I can tell you that you'll need Explorer 215
Brilliant, was wondering which I might need. Waterproof one ordered.
BTW. Much cheaper on eBay than local corporate bookshop.

Re: Meths stove & hello.

Thanks very much. Not sure how thirsty this is. Will have to work out fuel consumption at some point.
I know that it boils a brews worth of water in about half the time of my stainless tatonka burner!

Re: Meths stove & hello.

Does the flame turn blue with a pot on? I'm assuming you're putting the pot straight on top of the stove? This is the stove last night brewing up. Little yellow tips to the flames but no soot on bottom of pan afterwards: http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s480/puretechnohull/Mobile%20Uploads/20170...

Meths stove & hello.

Stove1.jpg Greetings from Hull. By way of hello here's my 49p 38g meths stove. Made recently from a hairdressers spray bottle. Think it was from home bargains. Pleased to say that it works! Boiled 500ml of water in about 5:30. Anyway, i'm signed up for the WRT so it'll be getting used then if not b...
