Re: Any 3 person winter tent deals going...
I think the first task here is decide what you want! If you are after a bell-tent, which are really good, easy to put up and fun and roomy and you can stand up and put in a log burner etc etc then look for a bell tent. If you want a 3 person winter tent, then you will more likely get a lower profile...

Some things will never be the same again, we won't be taught mouth to mouth resuscitation for instance. But it's true that all through time things have changed, become very different, then developed into a new normal and we forget about the old normal. Like downtube shifters and cotton saddlebags :l...

Re: What's a decent but economical bell type tent?
Bell tents are quite expensive, but do last if looked after. Unfortunately the bargains are usually found at the end of the festival season when companies sell of dozens of glamping tents. A couple of these, cleverly pitched may be a sensibly priced alternative...... https://www.militarymart.co.uk/c...

Re: This weekends Virtual Winter Event - postponed
As others have suggested, the main thing is about reducing the risk of stretching the NHS beyond where it is now. Falling off of a bike on a bridleway 5 miles from a road will potentially involve all sorts of services, probably not ideal right now. I know that nothing is completely risk free, but a ...

If "local" means "within 10 miles radius, or a 1 hour bike ride radius" from the door of your house and we're allowed "unlimited" exercise, then our 2 day VWE (or any other ride) seems good to go so long as you return to your garden at night. While you're out there, ke...

For the last couple of years I have been doing this exercise. It may seem a bit hippy and 'out there', but if you are reviewing the year and looking forward to next year, it can be helpful. Cardboard is a good insulator, it's why homeless people make houses out of it. If it gets wet though you have a totally uninsulated squidge of mush in your shoe, it's why homeless people make their cardboard houses in doorways or multi-storey car-parks! If you are not going to try simply unclipping ...

I think you trying to solve the wrong problem. The cleats are not the problem, they are small and not in contact with the sole of your foot except through at least two layers. The surface area of a cleat is tiny when compared to how much of your foot is 'exposed'. The answer is not to bury the clea...
