Re: North Wales for a couple of days

Snowdonia eh? Good choice! I think RIP has hit the nail in the head with those suggestions. Dinorwig slate quarry Cowlyd loop The cycle track from Bangor harbour to Capel Curig The usual trail centres but take your wet suit for Penmachno Then there's the Conwy mountain, Tal y fan, roman road loop A...

North Wales for a couple of days

I'm heading up to Caernarfon for a couple of days with work at the end of the month and have allowed myself a bit of extra time to "do a few site visits" while i'm up there. I was thinking of exploring the Lleyn Peninsula or heading a little south to the Snowdonia area, will only have two ...

Hi Reg, the wife's birthday is the weekend before so I'm free to attend for the next couple of years until it clashes again, then the grovelling will have to start  Will we be ri...

Re: South Wales newbie

Wow that was a quick response! I'm in llantwit major, near bridgend. Ah probably too short notice for me as I haven't got a lot of the kit together yet. Yeah from looking online there are Gower routes that look good, would be up for that sometime, would ideally like to start with a 1 night bikepack...

Re: Committed. 'Into the Wild' type of guy.

The series called "Alone" I think it's on the history channel give a good insight into living totally off the land. The first two series are set on the most northern tip off Vancouver island where 10 men start and the last one wins $500,000. Some only can handle it for 24 hours, the winner...

Blimey, only 3 weeks to go until GRs. The tension mounts! Just booked the Star Inn Penthouse Suite with Executive Private Fine-Dining for Friday night. I love contrasts and that should contrast very nicely with the following nights of Waterlogged Disused Football Pitch with Potnoodle. Trouble is if...
