I bought some winter boots from Rose in Early December to avoid this very possibility, so glad I did now looking at this.

Actually I’ve got a Deore chainset in a box too if that helps? Full disclosure I files the inner tabs for it to fit an ebb adapter so is basically 1x, it does have a ring on it though. If I’m posting a box I may as well go all in right:)?

Pair of Rose winter boots. So far so good, fit well and seem pretty warm. Test ride to go see the stars this evening if the clouds clear away!

I always have dog poo bags in my kit(bike/hike/photo trips)? There is actually a drop off point at the Cairngorm car park for the very things. Or there was!

Locus gear Khafra maybe? I have the Khufu and really like it. Trailstar also, lot of space for not much weight, 2 poles strictly speaking but same principle :) I have the Chinese copy version, only pitched it in the garden so far but it’s huge in there! Literally the full width of my house/garden!! ...

I’m sure I have some BB5s in a box somewhere. They are packed away at my workplace so won’t be able to check/dig ‘em out before the end of the week if that’s any use to you?

Ffordes are great for used gear generally and over the years I’ve had lots of stuff from them and they’ve always been reliable. Description is usually errs on the “understating” side.
There’s plenty of others in that list:)

Re: Cycling glasses... getting old
Agreed, I looked at prescription Oakleys(I have numerous glasses) but replacing a lens regularly is very costly(£2-300)!!! I use contacts for distance, though they are fine for checking map/phone on bars. My optician said that the £1 shop glasses are fine for reading as the contacts are the prescrip...

Re: Cycling glasses... getting old
I have much the same issue. After lots of trying other things I finally bit the bullet and got contacts( who honestly fancies putting your finger in your eye?!)
I found it far easier than prescription lenses etc and I can wear whatever dummies I like.

Re: What's like a small carabiner but not...
I use some of those metal buckles on my camera bag to attach a tripod/3 way head(4kg) and as long as they’re under tension the don’t unhook or slip. There’s a wee lip to stop them coming undone. Even once you’ve slackened them off you have to actually remove them.

Re: Bloody cycling boom!!!
Yeh, Hope hubs!! I get that bikes are out of stock everywhere, but are folks all converting their hubs to fit their new (12mm) gravel bikes too?!☺️ I’m gonna need a 15-12mm converter for my SON at some point so I guess I’ll try one of those instead for now. Hopefully I won’t be back here ranting abo...

A few weeks ago I was searching for a tool for the hope 30mm BB, no one had one in stack, like anywhere! Even my LBS didn’t have one so I could take the frame in for them to fit one! Now I’m having the same issue with a 12mm front hub conversion kit for my wheelset!!!! Don’t even get me started on w...

Re: What's The Furthest You've Had To Walk Back Due To A Mechanical?
A few years ago I was bikepacking around the south of Iceland, riding up to þorsmork on the first few days. Track was pretty(!) rough, especially on 40mm tyres, as a consequence the following day while riding out the rear tyre split at the bead!! Nothing I tried could fix it as it was right on the b...
