Re: I need a new tarp

SilTarp 1 arrived yesterday. First impressions are it's very small packed, much smaller than I'd have hoped for. It's also not quite as big unpacked as I'd thought but looks sort of just right to adequate for a solo shelter. My god it slippey! But overall without using it I think I'm pleased (slight...

Re: Fires - yes or no?

I like to travel to Wales and have a fire and then just leave half my camping stuff for other people to find.

I also think Tin cans should burn and one day I'll prove this theory....

Re: Water

Travel Tap water bottle.

Works well for drinking bit slow if your decanting to another bottle. But it ticks all the boxes for me. Not too heavy, quick to fill, simple to use, fits in bottle cage etc.

Re: How concerned are you about weight?

I carried a lot of food around the WRT from start to finish. Some of it is still packed in the framebag. I am a dumbass. I don't really worry too much about weight, I like to know I've got reasonable gear, but I wouldn't ever consider swapping my ME Xero250 for anything else as it's light enough and...
