Re: Unite co rings

I've fitted an oval one recently to replace the nx one as it was knackered after 1500kms. The unite one is half the weight and so far seems good, when I first fitted it and for about 10kms on my first ride it would cause the chain to pull under and stick. This quickly wore off and has been fine so ...

Re: Badger Divide?

I've ridden pretty much it all just not in one go yet. I think it's a great route with a bit of everything. Some really nice scenery. There are 2 versions going around. The one that the Scot duro event done and the original that has a couple of slightly more chunky options.

Re: Charging from Exposure light

I've just bought a mini usb b to micro adapter
So can use on phone and power bank if needed. I'm not really needing a support cell as if I'm using my six pack for events it's a bit big and overkill but if it serves a secondary purpuse of charging then saves me taking an extra powerbank.

Re: Bikes on Scottish trains

I've always been ok and never booked. Maybe just lucky! It really is a massive flaw in the system and needs to be better. A mate once got refussed but then took the wheels off and wrapped them in a black bag and took the frame/wheels on as normal luggage. Hassle but could get you out of tricky situa...

Re: Charging from Exposure light

What light do you have Sean?
I know all phones etc are different but how many times will it charge your phone? just trying to estimate if I need a new powerbank for a trip or if I can get away with my old one and the exposure. :???:

Charging from Exposure light

Anyone used their exposure for charging a phone or powerbank?
The cable is available and would just need to get a micro usb adapter for it. Obviously loose the run time on the light but with it being a six pack it has way more than I usually need.

Re: Bivvy a Month 2021

First bivy of the year for me on Friday. Headed off late afternoon after work. Aberfeldy on road round by schiehallion down to Loch Rannoch then took the path over to Glen Lyon. It was starting to get properly cold on the decent with some snow showers. Decided on a spot just in the woods for a bit o...

Re: Frame bag bladder recomendations

I'm a little disappointed here - the last time we had a similar thread, I recall it was full of people saying 'I tried it and didn't like it" and 'ooh, I'm not sure it's a good idea'. This time, someone asks for a recommendation and the thread's just full of people offering recommendations and...

Re: Frame bag bladder recomendations

I think I bought the spare magnet pack from either platypus or someone similar. One is mounted neatly on the tube and other zip tied to the stem. Sits nicely and only need to lean forward a little to get a drink. If I had a small bag and thus more tubing stuck out, it'd be even easier. Only use it ...
