(until someone highlights something I've forgotten). Feel free to pick bones with it
Only one pair of socks?

I'd not take the pressure gauge, get a feel for the pressure before you go.

Someone cheer things up a bit.
I grant you, not a very cheery subject. Worth thinking about nevertheless.

Re: Suggest a CX rim

How about the unused Stan's Alpha 340 I have hanging up in the garage?
If it's first generation, best place for it. I've got a pair and they haven't faired well on my CX bike :|

Re: Could I die?

Have I got this right? If on my ford wading on the FF I'd slipped and got soaked and cold, I would been wiser to get as dry as possible and carry on towards civilisation rather than camp up and get into my sleeping bag, given that I would have little body warmth to get my bag up to temperature. Pre...

Re: Could I die?

What is worth thinking about, is that in a lot of hypothermia cases, especially those that have happened in races, is that often the person was carrying extra clothes and food etc that had they been utilised, then maybe the outcome would have been different. Ones decision to push on instead of takin...

Re: Could I die?

http://everythingoutdoors.co.uk/hypothe ... treatment/ Excellent link Ian. My experience is that if you wake up cold and are not already exhausted, you'll just have a miserable night there if you don't have warm food/drink/more clothes to hand. If you can't get warm, get out of there. I've had hypo...

Re: Alpkit 650B+ bikepacking bike.

Arse and elbow from someone over there then  Is it just the picture or does that chain look a couple of links too short? This is what I was told this morning. The rigid titanium bikepacking frame will be here in a week or so and we will get it ready to ride and post some more pictures. Update...

Re: Where do you WANT to live and why?

We left the UK for somewhere in Europe when the kids were little, but nowhere ticked all the boxes for us, so we came back.

Having said that I'd be happy to spend the winter months somewhere warmer than here.

Hayfield in the Peak District.

I love it here as does my family.

Loads of great riding from the door, so much so that it's rare I drive anywhere else to ride.

How big is the memory chip?

Edit: What file format is the GPS track? Can people upload to Strava etc?

With respect if you are relying on the GSM network to send the message then "worlwide operation" is a bold claim.
