Exactly, in fact he's usually decided where he's going even before the GRs are given out? So this made me chuckle

 https://youtu.be/LzouM-i5dKQ :-bd that made me smile. I'd like to make more films (than the 1 I've made so far) but the thought of having to speak to camera, we'll more having listen back to me speaking to camera puts me off... but I guess I'll have to just get over that. Tennis balls idea is a cracker! I’m going to give it a go subject to Helen’s approval Do it when she's out, when I've done it in the past it sounds like someone playing tennis inside the dryer and even though I knew it wouldn't damage the drum Jane took some convincing. My downwash kit comes with s...

Your call, none of us are composites experts here are we  I'm not but one of my friends used to work for the RNLI laying up the carbon hulls for their RIBs, he won't put unknown eBay carbon parts on his bike, draw your own conclusions. I'll re read the rules and start properly again in January... Pretty sure I've done one every month this year, but not been posting them here, and a few were in my garden in lockdown... Lockdown garden bivis were allowed this year under the emergency rules. You can always post up a summary of your ...

Think I'm a bit grumpy. You ok hun? ...most of it is ridable..... I went OTB and cracked a rib between Crianlarich and Tyndrum... so mostly not ridable by me  It's an amazing time though, even given how rideable much of it is you hemerage time on the unrideable bits. Re: Googlepay NFC without an enabled phone
It's pretty crazy that Barclays (who run Pingit) don't offer NFC. If I was being cynical I'd say they'd done that on purpose to sell more pingit stuff, they've just got £9 out of me for a loop, although not having to get a phone or wallet out when buying supplies when out riding/running is worth th...

Ops, it's off the top of the page now so I forgot about that #-O My new phone, Google Pixel 5, supports NFC but my current account, Barclays doesn't  I may get a pingit as I could fit the Loop to the strap of my garmin watch and I'd have a payment method when out running that doesn't require ge...

Have you seen these?
https://web.pingit.com/
I've not looked into the specifics but seems much cheaper than a smart watch.

All of us who were on last year's winter bivi have to put one up, once all five are finished a beam of light will bounce between them forming a pentagram and anyone who's valves aren't lined up with the logos on their tyres will spontaneously combust

I thought my full sus was ok, not supper light but reasonable. Then I rode with a friend last Friday and felt the weight of his new Scott Spark You'd need 2 of them in each hand to get a good workoutCheeky Monkey wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 2:23 pm Dunno which of us is committing the worse humble brag for what here

Just for you Reg I did quite a big ride the other week. 274k - no energy at all when I started but the further I went the more energy I seemed to have. Got to the last k and only then started to thaw out. I reckon another 100k and I would have been boiling. :-bd Chapeau to you slarge, you win the i...

I think I'm going to wander off in search of a nice cup of tea and a sit down. I wouldn't normally indulge in such excesses but Strava says I burnt 889kcal* on my run t...

For a start it's a unit of temperature not distance - Kelvin. If you said you'd done a 5K ride I'd imagine you had been riding on the surface of Uranus or some other far-flung chilly planet. Aren't they using the K to mean 1000? So a 5K ride is 5000m? Like a new Salsa will cost £6K and that's not S...

Given our monolith seems to be considerably more shoddily constructed than the others around the world maybe the Government put it up?
Did I miss the "We're going to have a world beating monolith" announcement from No. 10?

Re: Does the Isle of Wight have aliens
Some pictures today show the tide has washed the beach away around it and you can see the 2x4 timbers driven into the sand which support it so I'm going to say it's a bit low tech for our alien overlords
