Re: Was Santie good to you?

I got a nice Czech seat bag from the mrs and BobCatMax jnr via Piotr on here, thank you for that, it seems like a well made bit of kit. I got Longer Rides by Jo Burt which has lots of his beautiful illustrations in it as well plenty of anecdotes, tales and tips A wee bit of cash and the usual socks....

wtd: cx/gravel/adventure/whatever frame 51-53 ctc

As above.. Looking for a project and very much fancy a singlespeed, disc drop bar build for wet & muddy winter duties 51 to 53 ctc frame, disc. Bigger clearance the better but I can manage at 35 c :) This is going to be used and abused, so a beater would be preferable Has anyone got anything for...

Re: Formula for combining temp ratings on multiple bag/quilt

Apologies Whitestone, I was blinded by the table!

Hmm, the quilt I had my eye on might not fit in the foot box of my synthetic bag. Mind you it packs down pretty small but I guess I'd be negating the effect of the loft

Re: Formula for combining temp ratings on multiple bag/quilt

Not sure if there's a formula as such. There's a table on the Enlightened Equipment blog about layering quilts https://support.enlightenedequipment.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002770588-Quilt-Layering that seems about right. You'll have to convert to sensible units  I've used a PHD Minimus 200 b...

Formula for combining temp ratings on multiple bag/quilts

As above really. How would you work out (roughly) the comfort limits on a combo..

Say +5 quilt with a +10 bag

Ta for the help, it's got me stumped!

Riding clipless on technical terrain in the dark with insufficient lighting, dodgy eyesight and bad technical skills was not my best ever idea it has to be said. I lost a cleat bolt somewhere which made life even more ...
