Re: What do you cook and what on when out bikepacking
Whilst couscous is easy its not very calorific for its weight its less than 200 calories in most packets so barely worth the effort IMHO. A cliff bar has more calories as does a plain tortilla wrap.

Re: made possible by advent of ‘fatbikes’
Indeed there is just like there are tons of ways to criticise those who are trying. .
Personally I will just wish all those who try the best of luck no matter whether I find it daft or not. It's better than doing nothing which is what most humans do ....hence the problem.

Agree we don't really have many gravel routes in the UK and it's rarely the correct bike. Trans pennine trail is better on a gravel bike IME

Bags. Racks bottle mounts If given a forth. Sliding dropouts or something so it can be easily used with...

don't kid yourself that you're saving the planet cos you're sure as sub standard not fooling anyone else. I am always little uncomfortable with those who do nothing* but are happy to chastise others He made the papers and it's clearly not the only thing he does to bring about change. On balance I p...

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
The average watts for the TdF is 300w ish [full route possibly slightly less without the drugs] with them able to kick out 600w for a few hours or a day stage and 1500kw if a sprinter track /sprinter - but for a bout 20- 30 seconds 250w is probably more than most of us can hold Main issue is no use ...
