Re: WhereYouAre Ride Thing 2020
Well what a brilliant weekend that was !!!! As about 70% of my riding was done on the Wirral I reckon I can claim that mine still was the WRT 2020. :-bd Only the lite for me on Saturday and Sunday but after all the crap recently it was a good few days plotting a couple of routes. Nothing too excessi...

Re: WRT original weekend (Fri 8th & Sat 9th May) back garden camp out
Plotted my routes tonight and in normal WRT tradition, John has given me a bonus post box grid reference... that is about 300 meters off shore in the River Dee! Going to struggle packing my kayak on the bike so I'm going to miss that out otherwise hopefully it'll be a full house. 😁 Cheers John and h...

I've got a nice Black Diamond with a bug net. Don't use it much because I don't enjoy the full zipped in experienced.

Wtd - Alpkit Kraku or similar
I want to ditch my Jetboil for the summer so I've just taken delivery of one of Stu's vaguely exciting magnetic windshields.
Unfortunately my current mini-stove is too big for it so wondering if anyone had an Alpkit Kraku or similar they wanted to part with?
Cheers

I made a plan to kip in the garden every weekend of lockdown, the plan was for my daughter's to join me but they only lasted the first week, ha!
So far I've used tarps, bivy bags and my Lunar Solo but I'm going in style tonight in a tent!

Re: Any Fat Boners out there?
I will only use mine (Mukluk) on beach bivy's as the front triangle is so small it won't fit a frame bag that contains anything more than tools and a pump.
I hate using rucksacks hence sticking with the Longitude which has a nice big framebag

Been following Joe for a few years, not particularly interested in bushcraft as a hobby for myself but love his films. He's got a good sense of humour and comes across as a really knowledge bloke.

I'm in, set myself a little challenge already of garden camping every weekend of lockdown but in different kit (bivy bags, tarps, tents etc.)
Riding round the garden will be like an episode of Junior Kickstart but I'll try my best!

as per the VBAM thread 4/4 for me. I'm quite enjoying sleeping in the garden, gives me a chance to test out different sleeping set ups knowing I can always get a second bag/duvet if I've made a boo-boo. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-CW8y40HQ9TYrQ0YXvz7H9-3S7lamnSMF8gdemAOzhhHaPM-Be6AeDRwz-_1Jh8...

Absolute top work by Reg... surely that's a gauntlet to be thrown down to be beaten? unlike you John I was amazed how quiet it was by me, virtually total silence all night. Almost like I was in the middle of nowhere. Had a good catch up with John, Taylor and Matt on Zoom as well. :-bd https://lh3.go...
