Cinder track. Scarborough to whitby

Is anyone familiar with a, mainly, traffic free cycle route between Scarborough and Whitby called the cinder track? I'm heading up to Yorkshire with family next week and we're planning to cycle this route, but I've heard various stories about the trails surface, with it "appearing to be 99% pav...

Re: WRT stories

I'm nor gonna write War and Peace. Just a list of things I learned from this WRT. I've no intention of going tubeless on my gravel bike. Tubes FTW! I need to seal the seams on my SMD tent. I carry too much food. Carrying two bottles, one empty, one full and a water filter, worked out nicely. Cheap t...

Re: Fitting a valve to a drybag

If you're ever looking for a valve again, try looking for a scuba diving shop / dry suit shop... a cuff dump or shoulder dump would do what you're after.

Re: Tent seam sealing service

Never come across one other than when offered by the manufacturer at point of sale. In truth it's not difficult though - thin down the sealant (white spirit) and brush well into the seams. There's no need to form a 'bead' of sealer as it's the stitch holes where it'll leak, so it's those you're try...

Tent seam sealing service

Hi all, So my SMD Skyscape leaked a little through the seams during the rain of the WRT, which leads me to believe, it needs the seams sealing. Not one to want ruin my beloved tent, are there any businesses, preferably in the North Wales region, that provide this as a service? I get the feeling if I...

Echoing this sentiment. Thank you so much to Dee, Stu, the dogs, the ladies doing hot food, the various W@nkers helping out with organisation etc, and Thank you to everyone else who turns up to make this event so brilliant. And thanks to Mark (Barney) and Paul for waiting for me on the hills. Same t...

Re: 2 weeks and counting

It looks like it might be quite chilly in the night time, might need a thicker bag. 11-12degC... still debating bag.. last minute packing decision... Ditto. I'd rather be too warm than too cold I think. But "too warm" can also mean too heavy. I'm torn on the super lightweight uninsulated ...

That's the spirit, if we all pack and carry everything that's waterproof known to the bike packing world the heatwave will hit it.

I'm pretty sure, that last year, someone made a gpx available of all the GRs preplotted... has anyone done that again this year? Just curious, and lazy.
The link I included in the email is to a site that allows you to pinpoint all the GR on a single map.

I aim for 190g protein / day. And limit to 1900 calories / day. I tend to ensure each and every meal I eat has protein as a core, then use protein shakes to fill in the gaps. I hate the milkshake variants so use clear "cordial-esque" supplements. For natural protein sources I go for... 0% ...
