@Sean I know what you mean, I've had the same dilemma looking at some of mine in that quarry...the bleakness sort of begs for black and white, but then somehow in colour, which is very very similar, it sort of shows even more just how bleak it is ... Popping off to Google silk balaclava. I often struggle bivvying with draughts and have thought a light weight balaclava would be just the thing. Wouldn't that be very expesnive and possibly harder to breath through Phil - due to the the tight knit on silk? Mine is lovely and thin and easy to breath...
