anyone got either the Salsa cradle/harness or Specialized Burra Burra?

Due to a new bike/bar set up I'm struggling to get my current bar harness to fit properly. Options have thrown up the Salsa Cradle and Spesh Burra Burra as having quite a decent stand off.
I'm trying to find the spacing between the two bar fixings if anyone can oblige?

Haven't put them on bars yet, but the 55s are HUGE. https://i.ibb.co/yp0KbdX/20210218-133413.jpg 45s look the business though. Really good surface texture too. Miles better than ESI. https://i.ibb.co/0nmrfgG/20210218-133431.jpg Andy, have you fitted these yet? My ESI's are shot and need replacing. ...

Mobi V17 - anybody got one?..

Just picked up a Mobi V17 to get most of the muck of the bikes before they go in the van. Its missing the battery as the previous owner threw it out when it went flat and he just used it as a 12v system. Anybody know what the battery spec's are? I've searched online but have can't locate it. cheers.

Re: Off topic - loading a kayak on a car

Have you seen the rear loaders? Basically stick onto the roof/rear windscreen and you roll it up and over. That way you only have to lift one end up onto the roller with the other end on the ground then just push it up. There lot's of DIY versions around as well. Alternatively a rear roller from a v...

I bought one of those for my DUB and it nearly ruined it, flexible and kept slipping. In the end I bought one of these: https://www.merlincycles.com/icetoolz-12-tooth-external-bottom-bracket-tool-121875.html?utm_source=PHG&utm_medium=AffiliateMarketing&utm_campaign=phg-GB&ucpo=56172&...

Thanks to Romesh Ranganathan and his "Christmas special" I'm now partial to a bit of "Peat and Diesel" from Stornoway https://www.peatanddiesel.band/videos I recon that Peat and Diesel are bloody brilliant too. To be fair to Rom, that wasn't a bad programme either. I think he wa...

Re: Wattbike Atom

I've got one. Picked it up at the start of the first lockdown second hand (not at the crazy second hand prices that are around at the moment). I really like it, I use it with zwift rather than the wattbike hub. The V1 has a slight lag when powering up or down on Watts (a couple of seconds) which onl...

I recall hearing of a guy who cycled around the world in crocs. Didn't need to carry other shoes, cool in summer, water runs out in winter, cheap and easily replaceable.

Re: Bike stand recommendation

Dave, if I remember correctly your sex dungeon (sorry, basement..... ) opens out onto the road Cant you put a mount/bracket on the top of the doorframe (inside) and insert a pole into it, then hang the bike over it from the saddle? Easy and quick to remove and far enough away that you don't flood th...

I saw one earlier on facebook "outdoor kit exchange" in exeter. Guy called Olly Goodwin. Nice one thanks - I am on that group. I will take a look. Edit - found it - that was actually a teepee which won't work unfortunately. Not enough space from the sidewall to the central pole for two to...

Re: Cycling glasses... getting old

Problem with laser treatment is that it’s a one off correction of a (in most cases) dynamic change in visual acuity. It will stop working at some point and you will need glasses again. I'd pay that price for 10 years without them Dave, that's what swayed me albeit I paid £1200 in total. Optimax in ...

Had mine done 13 years ago. Bought it on eBay... (true), brilliant except for the smell of burning flesh. Lasted 10 years now just as bad as before.

I think it was last year when we did the Tuscany Trail there was a guy using one. He was towing a Bob trailer with 3 (?) Spare batteries in it. Didn't help him too much when the Bob got a puncture though.. I don't think it was as you didn't ride it last year! :ugeek: Year before? Maybe.. thought I ...
