Garmin Edge Touring giving me trouble ... help please
I'm trying to load Pickers' three WRT routes onto the thing, but it just won't play nicely. I've tried clicking and dropping the files in the New Files folder. They show up on the computer in FINDER but not on the device. I've "saved as" and I've copied, cut and paste .... nothing. Ive tur...

Re: WRT Lonely Hearts Club
Well, we maybe have the makings of a 3rd squad, 7 of us so far. We'll be a sort of autonomous collective, taking it in turns to be executive navigator for the day. There'll be no kings. The liklihood of seeing someone who's not covered in sub standard is meagre at best. We have Dr Nick, Bigdummyste...

Re: Bivvy a month 2018.
4/4 and a lovely afternoon and evening it was too. I took the Grand Union canal through Berko to Cow Roast, then picked up the Ridgeway to Wendover before wending my way on lanes and bridleways back to the Chalfonts. There's still a bit of mud out there but its amazing how fast it dries out. Dinner ...

Managed to get out of the office early into the sunshine and planning a reasonable ride this evening of around 40km and a cheeky night under the stars .... which I will be able to see thanks to this luscious weather.

It certainly is, particularly if you don't have a destination or, perhaps more accurately, just don't know where you're going.taking the journey is much more important than reaching the destination

Nice Rich. Sorry to bale out of dinner. Recognise the cafe and several of the trails. It's going to be a quagmire for a few weeks yet, methinks. Where did you kip then? Common Wood?

Yep, must fit in the pot. With the stove. And the fuel. And the sporky thing. And a little cloth to clean stuff.

Re: Burley child trailer
For some strange reason it infuriates car drivers even more, and I get beeped more with the trailer on than without. Probably because you're wider and longer than just a bike, so it takes a whole extra split second to get past you. And because they suspect there might be a child in the trailer, the...

Re: OT: kids bike advice
At 7 years, I'd also think a 24in bike would be a better bet. My kids both had Islabikes. They're worth the money and as above, hold their resale better than other bikes. That said, a mate has just bought his son a 24in Hoy bikes Bonaly. It's very well specced, the same weight as the Islabikes Beinn...

Re: Bivvy a month 2018.
3/3 for me after a very damp overnighter with Sam. We managed 30 miles before taking a short-cut to the pub where we both ate far too much. In the afternoon, we'd ridden past the woods which my club has leased from the FC for about 15 years. It's just been logged and it was real mess. We're all a bi...

On the other side of the coin - you bring what the hell you like Tim mate, and enjoy your weekend in whatever way you wish (*) Cheers Reg. I most certainly will. 2ltr of water? There’s no shortage of water in wales, small bottle and a MSR trailshot filter will save you 1.5Kg Steve mate, I'm really thirsty. I go through 500ml every half an hour. If I dont, I get cramps and headaches and worse. Riding in a group, Im not going to be constantly moaning about ne...

Too soon for a WRT set up thread?
Surely not. Not for me anyway. Sam (he of the field) and I are on a mission this Friday to test our WRT set ups with about 20 miles of Chilterns muck and bumps, including a visit to a local jump site to hit a few doubles (not really) I've been messing with my set up to get my water off my sweaty bac...

Love otters and would be thrilled to see one in the wild. Growing up in Aussie, wildlife was everywhere, though lots of the native species are disappearing. Ive had some genuinely bizarre experiences, such as the time a goanna about two foot long ran up my leg in western Queensland. And when in West...

Planet-X have "discounted" some of the Podsacs stuff. I've no idea just how waterproof these things are, but for £12.50 I've taken a punt. Hoping it will fit in the loop of my Alpkit Confucius bars.

Oh, it'll handle all that no drama. Im on mine mostly on canal paths and back lanes and its lovely for that job. It'd make a great road tourer as well, as I intend to prove over the summer
