Nice. Very much considering an e-bike for my missus but I'm terrified she wont use it.

Re: BareBones Fatfighters - The weigh in

This is a surprisingly well written / researched (for a cycling site) article on the subject of diet / weight loss: http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/fitness/ ... ght-306001

Re: Exposure Support Cell - just a USB battery?

I've tried recharging with the USB cable from a normal battery pack. Is extremely slow.

That said, I don't own a support cell, so I can't say that would be any better. I also don't know if the light will run directly off the USB cable... as I've never tried.

(I'm not very helpful. lol)

Looks like I'm doing this. I may have to bring "The Overcompensator".

I'm regretting it already. lol

Re: Shorts? Pants? Trousers?

Padded undershorts with baggies on top. If it's particularly cold, full length cycling trousers instead. Has yet to be cold enough for me to require knee warmers (this weekend might have me change my mind). Almost never wear bibs unless I'm training on the turbo (I find most of them a massive pain t...

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/assos-tcampionissimo-s7-bib-shorts/ makes £180 seem cheap... You don't even get half the material you need! All about cost per use, or per KM. Ride enough, and expensive shorts are worth it. They can be, but by the same token, they don't have to be expensive to last (nor doe...

Re: BareBones Fatfighters - The weigh in

I'd be screwed without the freezer and microwave. I cook massive batches of slow cooker recipes (and anything else that's protein heavy), portion it up, then throw it in the freezer.

Funnily enough, I just bought a brand new freezer just so I can make even bigger batches. :)

Still one of my best memories from the BB200 that. I was in a "sub standard" mood before I got there.

No, I'm talking about over the same loops. I was interested so I went out and did some duplicate rides where I was working to heart rate.

I actually think my race beast might be lighter than my road bike, b obviously the tyres should make it a good chunk slower though.

I know that my road bike is faster than my carbon fibre race mountain bike... but oddly by no-where near as you might expect it to be.

I remember my mother used to get spam (pork luncheon meat) sliced so thin that you could see through it. Deli counter people hated her. lol

Though some did see it as a challenge.
