Re: Cycle 2 charge USB device
If only 2 LEDs are lit you might need to ride faster. I found that 4 LEDs only come on over about 15kph with a buffer battery being charged in parallel. I also got that patriot fuel cell thing (in gold). It all worked great until I snapped the micro USB connector off the pcb inside the buffer batter...

Re: SP dynamo hub - is mine borked?
Had another look tonight and it's not right. With the wheel in the forks, and a tyre fitted etc the wheel spins, but there's a vibration through the fork legs and the wheel slows down quickly. If you turn the wheel slowly you can feel the magnets, which I am sure couldn't be done before. It'll have ...

Re: SP dynamo hub - is mine borked?
Got it from Leisure Lakes in Daventry, but they didn't seem to know much about it. I can't work out whether it's normal notchy or borked notchy, but it does feel like mechanical notchiness not magnetic notchiness, if that makes sense.

SP dynamo hub - is mine borked?
After a little jaunt in Wales last week I have been checking my bike over and the SP dynamo hub has a tiny bit of play in the bearings (about 1mm lateral play at the wheel rim, and you can see the bearing end cap move a tiny amount). Also the hub is really notchy, turning the hub by hand it is quite...

Re: Best Ever Saddle
My saddles have very little padding - selle San Marco aspide, and a selle Italia carbonia, both very light, but I do try to wear decent shorts with good padding. I guess it's personal preference, but I like padding in the shorts, not on the saddle.

Yes, you can wire the c2c in parallel with the Revo light. Carbon forks! Yes, small problem there.......

288 lengths of timber beading cut and rot proofed for some replacement windows, and the frames under coated. Interrupted by youngest getting carted off to A&E with a broken fibula (but he scored a try as he broke it!). Put a new motor in the hoover, did 140 wet km on the road bike, and repaired ...

Re: Cycle2Charge road test
I road tested mine the other day as well. I wired the Revo light and the cycle2charge in parallel and the light didn't seem to dim at all (above about 15kph all 4 LEDs came on), and the battery pack was charging as well. It seems to be a good piece of kit without the bulk of the kemo chargers and wi...

Re: The post man's been ...
Artie, found it on eBay. There's a few exposure light charging cables with a USB on the other end - just cut the USB connector off and solder the ends up and it should work. Exposure sell them as well but I think they are quite expensive, but the charging cables I found were £2.99 or so, not sure ho...

Over the past week I have had: Cable to go from Revo to Dynamo. New (2nd hand) XTR pedals 40t extender cog from OneUp And I am waiting on a carbon repair kit to give the chainstay on the Dirty Harry some extra reinforcement after a fair bit of chainsuck damage (which now I am 1x10 I am hoping is a t...

Re: Another dynamo relavate thread (Plug III / Revo content
The spec does not say it can charge and discharge at the same time, whereas for some of the other packs this is written into the spec. So, I think it can do one or the other but not both.

Re: Todays ride
A good 80km around Bredon hill and the surrounding area having a good explore of trails I haven't ridden before. Found some good trails, a lot of poor muddy ones, but really enjoyed a decent off road ride on the hardtail. Loads of potential bivvy spots as well, for future overnighters.

I read 1000mA as well, that's one of the reasons I invested! I'll borrow a current clamp from work when it arrives and test it.

Re: Another dynamo relavate thread (Plug III / Revo content
I use a portapow 3400mAh but there are loads around. The important thing to go for is the ability to charge and use the USB output at the same time, which a lot of packs allow but not all.

BB200 2013 - how's the lad who got hit?
Anyone know how the lad who go hit by a car on the 2013 BB200 is? I can't remember his name, but I know he was in hospital for a week or so.
(And did the driver get done properly, or just slapped a bit?)

Re: Patagonia Nano-Air jackets
I am sure the lack of responses is partly because this ad looks a bit fishy. Newish bloke whose name is different to his forum name tries to offload a racks worth of brand new jackets.....
It may be worth including the source of the jackets and any receipt info etc.
Apologies if I cause offence etc.

I've got a superstar one that works, and a Works components one that also works. Both thick thin. Not much else to say about chainrings.
