Re: My BB200 2020 (may contain spoilers).

No lights = end of play. Shame, but 40miles of BB could be 7 or 8hours (or more) groping around in the dark. Always amazes me when people talk of using a Joystick on minimum output for off road on theses events. Way too little light for me. I agree, you get sleepy much earlier as a result too, i do...

Re: My BB200 2020 (may contain spoilers).

Thank you, warmed up quickly with a 20 mile road ride back to hay then with dry clothing and matress and duvet in car! Been getting a right battering all night with the wind and rain even down here at Hay! Forgot to add that i got my first ever farmer bollockIng for straying off a trail before built...

Re: BB200/300 packed bike weigh-in thread

Just noticed you were out there at the same time, hope you're ok in this overnight weather and fared better than me.

Where did you start from?

Re: My BB200 2020 (may contain spoilers).

Started 4am wednesday from hay. The ride started well with a waist deep river crossing 1.5m into the ride then going over the bars on the descent off the first climb in the dark which landed me up facing down a certain hospital grade ravine!. Both of those things kept me wet and cold for a few hours...

Re: BB200 2020

The route appears to go the wrong way down one way streets in both Crickhowell and Builth. I've re-routed on the shortest legal route, but just wanted to check that this won't result in a DNF?! Apologies, oversight on my behalf. Certainly won't result in a DNF - I'd advise everyone to apply common ...

BB200 Entry opening

Hi, did a search on this and have seen entries have rightfully been put on hold but can't find how to get notified if this changes. How will it be announced if/when entries do open? I've ridden it twice before and would like to do this year's if it goes ahead. Don't want to miss the 'opportunity' as...

Re: BB200 questions

That's fair enough, can see your point. Not surprising the 40% but a shame that there were probably others on the waiting list that may have gone for it

Re: BB200 questions

Not sure if this is the right place, seems a good one as any to ask?

Are the BB200/300 stats posted somewhere, just out of interest to see how many entered, started and what badges were earned?

Thanks
Paul

Re: A special thank you from me - BB200/300

Thank you Stuart and Dee. Credit to you firstly for leaving the decision to the riders. We all have a different threshold and ability and it's good that we can make our own assessments and decisions without some corporate with a clipboard filling in a risk assessment form at the event base! Instead ...
