Re: BB200 route.
Given how much I walked on Saturday/Sunday morning I was really surprised to get under 24hrs. We aren't talking a minute or two here and there but blocks of fifteen or twenty minutes. Sometimes walking was just as quick as riding - Alex and I held another rider, who was riding, on several climbs. I...

Re: BB200 route.
Thank you Stu and Dee, great event as always. Sadly a DNF from mechanical for me following good progress up to 90 miles. Being in middle of nowhere for a Sunday morning an 11 mile walk before fellow rider Alan found me off route and gave me a puncture repair kit (having left all my tools at the top ...

Re: FS: Pinnacle Ramin 3+ (now £550)
I'm very interested in this, I'm pretty sure i rode last bit of the bb200 a couple of years ago that one with the storm and swollen rivers!
I'm just a bit taller than you at 5'11" but should be ok i would think?
Still interested for my son if not, which bb200 are you on, I'm doing November's

Re: Festive 500 in a oner?
I was thinking of doing it as a oner this year between Christmas and New Year. Not sure yet if that is my own route as a DIY Audax or doing one of the GWR Festive500 Audax events. I think maybe something similar to the "Pint 2" route but starting/ending in Birmingham. Will has arranged 3 ...

Re: My BB200 2020 (may contain spoilers).
That was the earlier long climb, that one got me puffing, the one after the sign was closer to Crickhowell that went up past a church before opening up on the grass track at the top, really steep climb! It was nothing compared with the HAB going up through the trees to the Beacons Way shortly afterw...

Re: My BB200 2020 (may contain spoilers).
Well done Matt. I didn't feel my ears burning but I might have been asleep. I will shout louder next time... Worst one probably heading towards Crickhowell, seeing " <--Crickhowell 5 miles" Then turning right in the opposite direction and up another bastard hill. From not long afte...

Re: My BB200 2020 (may contain spoilers).
Bollocks bollocks bollocks! Set off from the Fforest Inn at 6 this morning. Was making great progress for 120km at 15km/h average. It was tough but very enjoyable. On the descent just before the Gap i got a log caught in my rear wheel and it bent the mech. But it was just too bad. I had to bail and...

Re: BB200 / 300 pictures
No pics from my ride at all I'm afraid. If you're stuck for photos though, just put a camera at the bottom of a very dirty fishpond and put it on auto and it'll look authentic

Re: BB200 2020
I’m that mystery 300 rider, currently sat in Builth looking for the shortest way back to Kington. 170km in 21.5 hours, and I think it’ll take 13 or so to finish. I’m absolutely knackered, and don’t think it’s wise for me to go through a 2nd night without sleep - I lost a bit of coordination last ni...

Re: BB200 2020
In previous years I just used the issued gpx with little problem. This year I 'tidied up' the bb200 gpx and put it on my Wahoo with added cue points for supplies, hike a bike and any tricky nav areas. I also ran the issued gpx on my etrex. This allowed me to compare tracks when unsure out on the rid...
