Re: Fat Fighters '23
I'm too lazy to check back to when I actually last posted, but after a while of not really riding and for a while I was pretty convinced I was giving up completely, I have recently started getting out more again. Back in for the last part of FF2023 Jan - 104 Nov 27th - 104  Target remains, 95....

Re: Whats your trouser of choice?
So, one word answer: none. Very 'Whinnie the Pooh' When I was riding a lot more, I got used to not wearing a chamois and the elimination of this eliminated most sore bum issues I'd experienced in the past  Hoping to follow that up in the colder months, so I think I will stick with some sort o...

Whats your trouser of choice?
A decent while ago, i asked what peoples fave shorts were and got great answers that me happy in my shorts choice to this day.
So, as its a bit wintery i thought id ask those who ride in trousers / pants what their favourites are.
Cheers

Easy / Shorter BP events
I see the list of events on bikepacking.com etc and am obviously aware of the BB events. Having been, lets say.... off the boil.... for a while I am not really up to speed with whats around. I was discussing with a friend for work and realised I was quite out of touch. So, to that end, what do peopl...

Re: Swapping out rigid & suspension forks...?
I used to do it fairly regularly. My headset had a split crown race (courtesy of a jnr hacksaw) so I just swapped that too. Moving the brake calliper is the biggest annoyance, but its not an issue. I just used a small amount of insulation take for the brake hose. Then just need to remember how many ...

It's a great bike. I don't really ride much anymore and am therefore going down to one bike. It was a toss up between keeping this or my chumba.

I used to really want a 1fg back then. If I recall there was a re-do of the F-Si not too many years ago and I really hoped for a new 1fg then too, sadly didn't get it.

Re: The Bearbones freecycle thread?
Cube Attain frame and fork.
Free if anyone wants to collect it from Glossop.
No postage, CBA. I dont care if you want to sell it afterwards but would prefer if you wanted to use it or at least passed the love on if you do sell it.
Wrong link previously. Frame fork headset only. No groupset.

Re: Not getting out there, wasting time (and my life) instead
Interesting thread. I hope you find something that reignites that feeling for you. I am in a similar position having totally lost any enthusiasm for actually going cycling, or staying out. Its reached the point where I really have to stop myself selling everything related to the sport. In an attempt...

Re: Garmin Oregon 650 help
Hi The oregan will also connect to the garmin connect app via Bluetooth, this is how I do all my route transfers on my edge and Fenix, might be worth trying that. I read this somewhere, but for the life in me I can not get it to work Are you using garmin connect on the PC, or an android device? Cou...

Garmin Oregon 650 help
Any experts around? I've just bought an Oregon 650 and when I have tried to put files on using basecamp it says there are corrupt files and tells me to delete them. However, when I try to do that, it tells me I don't have the permissions to do so. Does this sound familiar to anyone before I get a re...
