Re: Heads Up.... Dam Land Rovers

A recreation of the old ad they had for the 90 (different dam though) I believe the reason for doing it is that the original was faked (winch was at the top of the dam, not on the front of the land rover) and to prove it is possible to winch up a dam with a land rover. :-bd I think this one ...

Re: Bivi bags

Two questions spring to mind with this thread: 1) what would the uptake have been if Taylor has said they were £10, £15 or £20 each? (even if money went to charity) 2) If everybody bought Taylor a pint of beer for each bivvy bag they requested, how long would it take him to drink them? There's obvi...

If you end up with any extras you don't want I'll have 2 for a tenner each, I know 2 mates that would appreciate a bag to pop their wild camping cherries!

Re: Lightweight pitch outer first tents?

It might be worth taking a look at something like a Luxe Mini Peak. Single pole pyramid with a detatchable (1 person, although a 2p version is available) inner nest, lots of room, quick to pitch and like most pyramids will handle the weather pretty well. A+1 for the luxe tents, I use a sil peak hex...

Yeah I agree with getting the sawyer mini, it will go in line on a bladder can drink straight from the source via the included straw or fill the pouch and drink directly, or sometimes I will decant filtered water into a couple of water bottles
