I use an endura insulated vest and its FAB.great cut for riding and way warmer than you'd expect from the weight and packability.

Zippy - this one is a Warco super mini - its pretty good all in all for a starter lathe....I had zero experience with machine tools until I bought it and its been a steep learning curve with youtube and help from friends who know what they are doing...id recommend if you are teetering! so much fun!

Re: A problem that you didn't know you had until today....
Moder-dye thanks! I might be misunderstanding but just in case! - the point of the top tube bag loop is that it rotates, so when you steer, the bag stays inline with the frame! so needs to be 3+ pieces!

MYOG Strap Deck bag
I decided to make a specific bag for use with the Strap Deck - which replaces a bottle cage with a place to solidly mount, well, anything, really. full disclosure - the Strap Deck is my design! :-)~ https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7873/32407296147_31031555dc.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7872/46...

Re: A problem that you didn't know you had until today....
thanks JohnClimber - its been cool to see some of these things get out there and be of use to folk! the idea initially came about because of bike packing in the Cairngorm - get some of the fine sandy stuff under a strap and it quickly wears away at whatever is underneath. the DeWidget allowed mounti...

Re: Down tube bag/cage options sans bosses
hey there! thanks for the mention! Andy at https://backcountry.scot/product/dewidget-strap-deck/ has been using a Strap Deck with a strip of the grippy revelate frame saver tape on the frame and the voile straps around the downtime no problemo. its not as solid as using bosses, but it works... 2 siz...
