Re: BB200: Newcomer (to that)

After speaking to many people over the WRT weekend about the BB200 I'm likely to enter the BB200 just to experience the torture that Stuart has laid out as most of whom I spoke to say its a real test so hopefully between now and then I'll be somewhere near ready for when it comes around or I wont :l...

Re: Suggest me a Kids bike 4 year old

Cnoc by Islebike was a great bike for my littlen when he was a similar age good build quality and lightweight may get hold of a reasonably priced second one if you look around :-bd
Steer clear of anything with a suspension fork as at that age they wont get the benefit and they just add weight

Re: Budget jacket

Alpkit Squalline jacket I bought just after xmas has been great, went on a night ride in the lashing rain and was very impressed with its performance albeit only for 2hrs. Quick shake and it was ready to go again, comfortable and packable in its own rear pocket.
Fits like a glove :-bd

Re: Which bike to use?

I'm yet to bike pack so to speak ordered a koala 13L seat pack and a fuel pod from Alpkit last month, few more bits to get a hold of in terms of sleeping arrangements and hopefully it wont be to late in the year to have a bash without freezing to death on a mountain top  If the bikes I have are...

Re: Which bike to use?

I'm kinda wishing I'd kept my Genesis High Lat 29er, would of been ideal for a bike packing bicycle.
Currently riding a 29er Procal xc bike, 29er Ex Fuel and a Domane road bike which im hoping to fit some 35mm cross tyres on for some adventuring, we'll see.

good luck on your trip

Re: C2c Hadrian’s wall

There is a Hadrian's Cycleway, we've done it a few times from Bowness on Solway to Tynemouth. Doable fairly easily in two days or in a longer day. http://sometimesridesbikes.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/hadrians-cycleway-coast-to-coast-to.html http://minipips.blogspot.co.uk/2016/12/coast-to-coast-in-day....

Caledonia Way

Having read a bit on this route I was wondering which is the best way to ride this from as there doesn't seem to be much in terms of anything in Cambelltown, do people tend to start from Oban and travel through to Inverness or start in Inverness ? how much of this is off road and what's the best tim...
