Re: Berwick-upon-tweed to Bolton via Sandstone way & more
Cheers all and hi Eric, we should meet up soon. Airton to Colne sucks by almost any route especially the PBW. If I was going that way I'd just road that section. I'm actually slightly east, coming down via Kettlewell and skipton and rejoin the PBW at widdop. I'm reasonably familiar with that section...

Cheers Whitestone,
That's good, I'm not after trail centre riding on this trip.
Still undecided between the fatty and the krampus.
That section sounds more krampus like.

I'm sure I read of one a while back but can't find it.
Not sure how sewing the lock on helps, must need to think harder.

Re: Apologies for umpteenth extrex 20x upload question!!!
I prefer to follow a series of waypoints instead of a bread crumb.
I was struggling for ages but came up with this solution.

Hope it helps.

WhinstoneLee Tor last night for our winter Solstice bivvy was excellent.
I guess if the wind & rain came from the wrong direction it might get unpleasant though.
@PaulB - will explore suicide Pot - for one of the forthcoming ones - 3 more to do a full 12 months.

I know the feeling CM.
That's what puts me slightly off the showerspass.
It has vents but not as we know it.
Where as the Quito has full arm pit vents.

Paramo Quito, anyone have one?
Thinking of getting a winter weight waterproof.
Two mates have a showerspass, refuge I think, and they both approve.
But I've also seen online the paramo Quito which looks great with good ventilation
So any reviews please?

Re: Derailieur on / off. Eh?
Fab. So default is "on" for general riding. "Off" only when fiddling with rear wheel. Cheers
I find the settings are very similar to the lockout on forks & are:
Off - to remove the rear wheel
&
Off - because I've forgotton to turn it back on.

Re: FS: Surplus Wildcat Gear (more added)
Ian,
Apologies but I am in buckle hell.
I've got it all sorted except for buckle 'd'
For the life of me I can not thread the strap in to the buckle & get it to stay tight.
I am sure there will be plenty there tomorrow to help including Karl & Pete, but thought I'd ask anyway.

Well done Pete.
Good effort and keep drinking.
