Re: Round the world cycle

Here's a few pics of my set up from my trip through South America back in 2013-2015. As others have said the considerations for long term trips are a good bit different to a couple of nights out in Wales or the Peak, as there needs to be an added layer of comfort and practicality given the often shi...

Re: What3words

Personally I think its a great idea with lots of commercial relevance.

I've actually met with the W3W team for a work project and its already gaining quite a bit of momentum its already being widely used by Lonely Planet in all their new guidebooks, and has been integrated in to Mercedes sat nav.

Re: Like a Carradice but lighter?

Been after something similar myself for a while. Swift Hinterland caught my eye but I just can't justify dropping that on a bag, especially when you consider how many Carradice's you could buy for that money and their longevity! Mac Workshop is a good shout, maybe might be able to get a bit of movem...

Re: Giardia.

Hey up Rich! Yep much like Whitestone I picked up Giardia whilst I was away on my trip, but its just as easily contracted in the UK or Europe. In hindsight it was rather stupid given that I was carrying a Steripen with me the whole time, and am now fairly fastidious about any water taken from stream...

Re: Heated Grips

Watching with interest. I seriously struggle in the winter months to put time in on the bike once the temperature drops due to poor circulation in my hands, its virtually impossible to heat them up once they've gone. I've previously looked at some of the motorbike specific kit but its always looked ...

Re: TD - To dynamo or no.

Batteries are great for a trips lasting a couple of days enabling you to top up charge on electrical items. However dynamos really come in to their own the longer you travel and give you a lot more flexibilty. I found the SON and Ewerk to be really good at low speeds, and believe me I grovelled up s...

Hi Dylan

I'd suggest posting this in the UK Fat Bike Sales Group on Facebook.

I'm pretty sure it would generate some interest.

Hope all is well!

Re: Kinesis FF29

Mbnut is pretty much spot on.

I'm 5ft 11 with a 32 inch inside leg, with a lot less seat post showing.

Running a short stem the fit has been ideal for me, I've ridden a couple of 100 mile days without any niggles.

Re: Kinesis FF29

It is a bargain if I do say so myself!

I was hoping to buy a Solaris myself at the time and this popped up at a good price.

I've since collected a couple more bikes and this isn't getting anywhere the use to justify keeping it, despite it being a cracking bike.

First up is a Kinesis FF29 I bought a couple of years ago, its had limited use over the past year following a shoulder injury, I now need somethi...
