Sorry also to see the Wildcat brand go. Although having never owned any of your gear, I've always heard fine positive comments about them.
All the best for the future...

Re: Am I being churlish/picky?
I liked the 'moody' feel to it. Shame they poshed it up by staying in a swanky place mind, might have looked better staying in a bothy.

useful websites
I thought it would be good to share websites that may aid us in our bikepacking adventures. Here's a couple that I've used whilst looking at the history of the area or old structures of interest. What I like about them is that old pile of stones you ride past is most probably a 400 year dwelling! ht...

Re: Dulyn bothy from the north?
You should be OK on a Thursday night... If coming from Drum summit, head east straight from the cairn. A bit boggy to start with but there's a bit of a track close to the fence. A steep bit follows and then easy going. Go over the stile and turn west following the double track to the river crossing ...

Me & John Climber went in July but obviously it doesn't go dark so no lights on show.
However I have seen them from the Great Orme in Llandudno, north Wales!!

Re: The money no object thread
I'd have to be greedy and have a bike for every discipline. More fat bikes, carbon rodie, grzvel, BMX and a vintage bike in there too. Then I'd need a huge bling man cave for them.
Then I'd build my own secret bothy in Snowdonia which I should do now tbh....

Film, ride to Eigiau cottage
Here's my film from last weekend's ride from Conwy to Eigiau cottage where we stayed on Saturday night. Don't worry there's not much of my fat bike in there....
Enjoy

Its known as Worlds End. A great path!
Ive got mates who ride down that way on a weekly basis so i doubt they get hassle. A footpath though ☹

Re: Bike Packing Cooking
For me having good feed during a camp is one of the highlights. Yes I've done the old hydrated meals but you can't beat 'real' food. I'm never chasing the miles or the clock so it's a good way of killing some time during the evening. My favourite is seasoned lamb steak with a small tin of spuds. I'v...
