Re: FS: Rolling clearout (swanky top dropped £)

Hey Shaf, I'd like to take the Madison trousers and if it doesn't get taken elsewhere, the swanky jersey top please. I'll await those with first refusal.

That's great Taylor. Let me know what you've got and how much you want for them. Where are you based? Willing to post?

WTD - Thule Proride

Hi all,

Just looking for ideally a Thule Proride or other similar stable roof mounted carrier. Looking for anywhere between 1 and 3 depending on price.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Mike,

How much are you looking for for the frame and fork? Also, do you know how wide a 650b and 700 tyre can fit on the F&F. getting conflicting info on the Evans website/reviews.

Cheers,

Andy

Re: Anyone (wish to) got any thoughts on this: Hydration related

I have a hydrapak 2l bladder which came with a running pack I bought. I'm really happy with it. Mine looks similar to the one in the link, but colourless rather than black. I used on the WRT this year and placed it in my frame bag on top of the stuff I took out the least often. Unlike the camelbak r...

Alpkit Strada https://www.alpkit.com/products/strada-mens-shorts- not super cheap, but they are comfy and I wear them on and off the bike. Even wore them to play cricket in last week.

Re: What gear options?

Thanks for that Yeha, did you get the roadlink or goatlink copy? I've spied the roadlink ones and they say will only go up to 36T on the road but 50t on mtb, but how does the roadlink know if it's on a road or mtb? Is it magical?

Re: What gear options?

Thanks BR, I thought the same thing, but I noticed that the issue was when I was keeping an eye on the trail ahead and trying to avoid roots or rocks, I wasn't pedaling super smoothly which lead to a break in traction whereas in the mtb (admittedly with wider tyres), I could spin through really muck...

Re: What gear options?

Thanks both, I was contemplating ditching the big ring, as I tend not to use it a whole lot, keeping the 34 or switching to a 36 and then running an 11-40ish on the back with the roadlink. Any idea what problems I could encounter? I've ridden the Sram Rival 11-42 with a 40 on the front and would hav...

What gear options?

My 2015 Rose cross bike has had a long overdue service, however it appears that hasn't related into me having the legs and lungs of an EPO laden roadie and when loaded up it's just a touch too highly geared for me, especially when I'm trying to climb techy stuff and I'd prefer to be able to spin a b...

Badger Divide

I'd like to ride the badger divide at the end of summer and I just want a bit of advice on bike choice? I've seen Richpips's post where they did it on Frontiers with/without a suss fork so I think I'd take my Pinnacle Ramin but with 2.25s on, does that sound reasonable? A mate who I'm convincing to ...

Is a Signal Ti preposterous for long trips?

I'm in the market for a Ti bike, I've recently ridden a Sonder Camino Ti, which was honestly the best bike I've ever ridden. However, I have a Rose Cross bike which is just about passable for the gravel/adventure mile munching at the moment and I fancy upgrading my Ramin 3+ instead. (May well look a...

Re: Installing forks with carbon steerer

Thanks all, so after a quick fit test yesterday, I don't need to cut the tube down (they're second hand, so already cut). There's enough space for a spacer or two above the stem so that should be fine. I've measured internal diameter and found a compression plug that's the right size. Is it just a m...

Installing forks with carbon steerer

Hi all, I've just purchased a set of Lauf TR29s and I've only ever used star nuts, I believe the solution for carbon steerers is a bung and there are plenty online, but just looking for any advice on which one to go for and anything to look out for on installation? All advice very welcome! Cheers, A...
