Bar ends

Does anyone know of any bar ends that have like a hinged open clamp so you don't have to slide them on the end of the bar?

Re: Don't show Stuart this....

I was thinking a variation on There 'N' Back called "There 'N' Back 'N' There 'N' Back 'N' There 'N' Back 'N' There 'N' Back." You ride out to a check point, then back to base and get the next check point... and repeat. Check points are given in random orders so it would be very difficult ...

As far as I know, he isn't. He'll be paddling a canoe down the Yukon River I think.
He was clearly going to be up to something epic.

WRT dates

The latest news letter has the date for the WRT as May 5th-7th 2014 Monday to Wednesday? The site has it as May 5th-6th 2014 - Monday to Tuesday?

Is that right or should it be the May 3rd-5th Saturday to Monday?

Re: Dales200

I think the facilities at the start/end point are more important than the location per se. What I mean by facilities can be as er... basic as the BB200 that's fine, but it's the having same where to park and then crash out for as long as you like (no check out time) at the end of 20hours that concer...

Re: Q about displaying tracks - Garmin Dakota 20

Not sure about the specifics of the Dakota but I have been looking into displaying more than one route at a time generally and the amount of online mapping tools that seem to find this a problem (as in they don't have the feature but it has been requested a long time ago) I wonder if its actually a ...

Distance : There seems to be an attraction to 200km for routes (BB200, Lakeland200...). Would people appreciate the same or is there demand for a longer route? Agree with everything already stated by the others. Roads & Shops : If you had to choose, which of the following would you go for: 1) G...

I was going to go with the cut offs until I read about a lot of people complaining that the seat wore out very quickly. For £10 though if you only get one winter out of them then that's still pretty good value.

Re: Waterproof Shorts... worth it?

I have had several pairs of the endura ones and would say they are great. Doesn't keep all the water out but stops your lycra getting saturated and they don't get heavy and cold like normal shorts do when very wet. I swear by them these days.

Re: The thread for everyone building a cross/gravel/monsterc

Try Mary bars upside down and tape them up, works really well. I did this on my 26er for a bit to pretend it was a cross bike for an adventure triathlon I used to run Mary bars upside on my 26er as well. Used to love it for commuting but found it a bit twitchy off road. Good idea though, I hadn't t...

Re: The thread for everyone building a cross/gravel/monsterc

This may be moon on stick but are there any drop bars that will still work with MTB brakes and shifters?

I'm kind of curious about putting a drop bar on my new 29er for the gravel race and I would splash to a new stem but I'm not replacing the brakes and shifters as well.
