I totally get that they are probably good value when used a lot for a long time, but they are eye-wateringly expensive though aren't they? It's more the membrane being on the outside, and thus in my eyes at least, more susceptible to damage. Pretty much all my jerseys and what not have obvious interactions of spiky, thorny, things on the arms and shoulders...

I will bow to all of your actual experience of it though.
