Re: Todays ride

Ta. Obv always nice to meet up but I'm sort of leaning towards a bit solo-ey on this one. The train I'm finkin' of dumps me up there late at night and got no plan other than aim for a quarry on the horizon then look for the next one. Might go for the world record number of quarries in 48 hours or s...

Re: Todays ride

Managed to get out for another night out last night. This time into the surroundings of slate at Cwmorthin. The weather was surprisingly nice yesterday (especially being so close to Blaenau  ) but the cloud rolled in during the evening and made for a testing bit of navigation this morning (no ...

I bought all the OS maps for Snowdonia this spring, and am looking forward to using them at some point..
Thanks. Give me a shout if you need any 'insider' knowledge ;)

I thought I'd post a separate thread for this as I've got quite a few pics! So I went out last night for my first overnighter since January. I know we're not supposed to be spending a night outdoors due to Covid but seeing as you can swan around Primark (not that I want to), go for a pint (Wales is ...

Re: Todays ride

Yeah, we can now travel more than 5 miles here in Wales from today! So not far but a 30 minute drive saw me near Dinorwic quarry for a short pootle and to take in the views that I've missed for these past weeks. Saying that it was probably just as chilly as what it was last March! https://live.stati...

Re: How to keep your feet dry in the summer

Whatever the season I just try to not get wet feet. Even when hike a biking I always try to avoid getting wet. However we all know its not possible so as said above merino socks are work and a spare pair for getting changed into during camp.

Re: When?????

Tbh I'm dreading the day when Wales opens up again. Its been great to see everywhere so quiet (not from a business point of view mind). The hills and car parks will be full of people enjoying them but again it'll be the minority that ruin it for everyone else.

Re: When?????

I'm now aiming at July 4th for us in Wales. As I said on another thread when I was out on Saturday I could have easily rolled out the bivvy bag. I don't fancy being the one with his mugshot on the local rag for being out out! But as above said Primark is due to open any day here in Llandudno so why ...

Went to the Dulyn bothy yesterday for a nose. Tbh I was surprised to see it 'open'. I know they don't have locks on the doors but still... I know it's still here and there's little spikes happening (Anglesey meat factory), but it's such a relief to think everyone can go about doing the things they enjoy (to an extent). No more paranoia for parking in a car park a few miles from home (not dogging btw!).

First time back at Cwm Eigiau since the end of Feb, god I love it there! Its makes a mockery of us staying in and doing the clap every Thursday. There's a fair few of us towing the line and not heading off to the quiet hills for a bivvy e...

This new jersey came today from the US. I won a comp in a FB group for a photo and received a $100 voucher for a cycle jersey shop. Its got a bike, panniers, front bar bag, tent, a big moon and a pitch with a view. There's nothing else on the jersey.... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/4997397075...
