Re-dished the rear wheel on the plus bike to get a bit more room for the chain in twiddly gear... moved the rim over about 6mm and looks more central now.
Cleaned the drive train and fitted a new RD hanger.
Satisfying afternoons potter.

Re: Would you risk it (for a biscuit)...
A Yorkshire man A Scotsman with the generosity wrung out of him  I had one like that... went bang and nearly ruined a rim on the decent road bike... as well as nearly chucking me down a steep hill... potentially risky and no saving if the rims knackered.. burial with honours for loyal service!

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Firstly, after raining for 48 hours - it's stopped. That in itself is enough but better is the fact that last week while tillering a bow it decided to 'self adjust' which left me with a piece of Yew far shorter than I'd had 2 seconds previously. The solution was to turn it into a kids bow which I g...

There used to be a company in Glasgow that made (or sold) 'Bothy Boots'... like really thin, roll up, calf length wellies that were packable and lightweight. Made more for slipping over socks in camp or nipping out of the bothy, so not super hardwearing... can't find them anymore or much very simila...

I don't wear glasses very often when riding but have found Bolle safety glasses (and even their mini goggles) to be top notch. Looks like a more complex version of the Mate Tea gourds/silver bombillas used all over South America... that should hit the spot for caffeine intake!thenorthwind wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 9:20 pm Someone sent me this the other day. Funniest thing I've seen in ages

I liked it too, because it was different and the message was good and i liked the style.
