How about one of these, https://www.s3i.co.uk/wire-rope-sling-s ... ?pid=10199, plus a padlock of your choice.

Re: Rohloff build. Bolt on or QR?

I've got a threaded Rohloff on my ECR. It's fine without a tuggnut, so long as you can tighten the nuts sufficiently with the spanner you carry on your ride. If you carry a small multitool, I suggest you get a drive-side tuggnut, unless you want to rub through your tyre casing.

Re: Small pack size 2 man tents?

My Terra Nova Solar is still for sale if you're interested; http://bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6892 Double-skinned, storm-tested, 1850g all up, 13cmx39cm packed. Very spacious for one, fit for two small ones (I'm guessing, never tried), suitable for two adults only in e...

Re: Roomy 2 person tent?

I've been very impressed with my Rainbow. Huge interior space for such a low weight, and the single wall mesh design means there's always a sense of openness. I reckon you'd easily fit two inside, but for more space what about the Double Rainbow: https://www.tarptent.com/double-rainbow.html? I had e...

FS: Terra Nova Solar Green tent

No longer made, but carefully used, well kept and reliable. It's kept me safe in some serious wind & rain. More spacious than a Hilleberg Atko, with full sitting headroom, and will sleep two at a pinch. Not as lightweight as some of the more modern tents, but it's made of tough stuff, to the usu...

A Rainbow from tarptent.com. Sterling service, especially at such a busy time of the year, and only £25 to clear it through customs.

Hi Paul

I'm very interested to know how the whole purchase/shipping/tax thing pans out for you. Just about to pull the trigger, having missed the Black Friday 10% discount, grrr.

Rear lights

What do people do for rear lights when riding with a large seat pack? (Once I've fitted my Tiger there's precious little space for a seat-post mounted light.)

And any recommendations for USB-rechargable lights?
