New biodegradable no ammonia tyre sealant
Hi all... I've just fitted a new pair of wtb raddlers to my hunt 4 season rims...I was looking into the environmental impact of going tubeless and I found Effetto Mariposa Vegetelex sealant.... Interesting to find a biodegradable no ammonia sealant (is made from ground olive stones I beleive) . I wo...

Re: Are all braze on clamp adapters equal??
I'm no front mech jedi by any means, but looks like the high limit screw needs reining in...don't think it should sit that far out once big ring is selected. It should nudge it on and settle back a touch, no? Is the mech a bit high too, can't tell from photo though...? It's 2mm from the top of the ...

Are all braze on clamp adapters equal??
Trying to set up my new grx front mech with on my croix de fer. It’s working with a grx chainset. Front mech only came in braze on so I bought an mpart clamp adapter. Should be simple but I am finding that when the front mech is set up correctly it’s really close (nearly rubbing) the crank. This mea...

Re: Looking ahead - what are you looking forward to?
I am really really really really looking forward to being able to get on a ferry and get home to Asturias...I came over to make some cash for a few weeks...... I'll be going home poorer than when I came, but time (and cash) spent fettling bikes means I'm taking two reinvigorated steel pack horses ba...

Wanted. Handlebar pack. 10-13 litres
Looking for a handlebar pack, could buy new but would rather buy second hand :) so thought I would see if any one had anything going. Can't be too big as will get used in a drop bar, max 35 cm long. Hit me up if you've got something lurking in the cupboard.

Re: 140mm boss spacing in downtube...why and what???
aghhhh thanks...what do you reckon to adapting it to a bottle cage... I've got them on my latitude (non high version) as well. Aren't they too far up the downtube so a bottle would catch on the front tyre? You may well be right but I'm going to try anyway. so I'll let you know....they're going to g...

140mm boss spacing in downtube...why and what???
Ok so I have been building up a genesis latitude frame... Nearly there. I put an acepak bag on it today (thanks Stuart) and it covers the bottle bosses . So I think that's ok there's two on the underside of the down tube. I go to put a bottle cage on them but discover they are too far apart...140mm ...

Re: WTD: Budget bike, to fit 5'4"
Probably a bit over your budget but I have a small (17.5, but have to check) genesis altitude 10, Reynolds 725, (26 er) in 'as new' condition. Dt Swiss wheels, deore LX throughout, and rockshock Tora forks. Its my partner's but she doesn't want it, has lived its entire life in the hallway. V, tidy. ...

of course... Anything to save water... Drinking coffee out of the porridge pan really just part of washing up. After you've boiled you're egg and eaten your porridge..... Drink the washing up!

I met some russian bike Packers once who were chewing freshly ground coffee with sugar then swilling it down with a shot of vodka! I quite liked it but it gave my cousin a panic attack... I'm not sure the quality of the grind was greatly appreciated mind..

Even at the risk of death so...

ah yes and in some detail! I used to live with some speed addicts who had similar conversations...it doesn't taste as nice but I reckon you could get quite a bit in an aeropress.

I've been doing a bit of grx fiddling today too...only the chainset (40/30). Matched up to a suntour 11/40 cassette. All pretty good except the tiagra front mech really doesn't like the 2.5mm outward shift of the chainset...which I knew might happen but thought I'd give it a go anyways...it works bu...
