Re: Arkose... upgrade?

Oh no..wish I hadn't opened the link to Smokestone bikes now   As an owner of an Arkose X and now also a Ti Silk Road I'd say both great for different types of riding, with the Arkose more road-focused but still capable enough for 'lighter' off road. Mine now has 53mm 650b tyres, lighter...

Pair of 30mm Hutchinson Fusion 5 Performance Storm tubeless tyres. Decided it was time to try tubeless on the road bike. Conti gp4000s in 28mm size up as 31mm on the bike,so hoping the 30mm Hutchinsons are true to size and will fit. Also some 75mm tubeless valves for the deep carbon rims  Yest...

Keep looking at the Alpkit Mora mossie net, and Mora underquilt to go with the hammock I got a few weeks ago, but thinking my old Cloud Cover could be used as an underquilt? Anyone tried? ^that's good to know. Though naively I trimmed the cinch cords at both ends on mine not so long ago. Could never fathom why they were so bloomin' long and after waking up again with them round my neck! Now I'm thinking they were meant to be that length to help attach to the daisy chain / carabiner f...

Alpkit Juice Bank 10,000mAh power bank charger, in their recent sale. Looks OK but never used a power bank before. Sucked in by the IP65 water resistance rating, but hadn't counted on the open ports which are presumably vulnerable to water ingress?

Outdry jackets showing as £108.50 for me now... Yep, they've gone up. Mine was £93 on Monday so the sale has ended or evolved. Maybe they'll go down again soon (if they're less than £93 I don't want to know though). I'm going to keep my eyes open for these in case they come down again in price. Wha...

Montane Prism Ultra pull on jacket, from Trekitt reduced to around £70. Went for medium instead of my normal small in Montane and fits lovely. Lighter weight insulation than the standard Prism jacket, and no hood or hand pockets (or refectives, anywhere...). But seems snuggly warm and very packable....

Mora hammock from Alpkit - not sure it'll get much use, and as we only have 1 small tree in the garden, may be difficult to try it out at home. As ever my defence will be that "it was in the January sale" for pity's sake!

@Boab - I tend to find Polartec Alpha breathes better than most insulated stuff, but we'll see. It'll be up against a old merino peaked winter cap by Giro, which whilst very good at covering the ears and keeping my head warm, used to soak up a lot of sweat. Caught out a few times over the Christmas ...
