Re: Anyone gone back to sus forks (from rigid)
i tried a modern 100mm sid with skinnier tyres and still seem to prefer chunky rubber and a rigid fork. The modern damper was impressive though! just like the simplicity of a rigid setup and the suspension fork setup wasnt really any comfier. 29 x 2.6-3.0" allows be to stay off the wimp levers ...

Re: What's the default GPS recommendation nowadays?
Have a garmin530 myself mainly as buttons win in the sub optimal conditions I often find myself navigating in! Mine has never been plugged in to a cable to upload a gpx, I just Bluetooth them across via Komoot. Also like the battery extender pack which connects via the pins in the mounting location,...

Re: Diesel Heater For A Van Question.
The cheap Chinese ones are fine if fitted properly. That’s what I have in my current van. Prices are around £150. Fitting no idea as have always fitted myself, have had eberspachers in the past and too, always use a co2 alarm Run wise the 10 litre tank lasts ages as vans are such small spaces, have ...

Pics sent to Phil, will fire some over if he passes.
Apologies for confusion on size, dug out the email confirmation from when I bought them. Explains why they are a bit snug!
Proceeds of the sale will go towards funding size 12 wider winter boots , I wear shimano xc shoes in wide version normally

Northwave arctic winter boots size 11 (46)
Northwave Arctic winter boots, size 11 eu 46 Have had some use but not much, I’m on the larger end of a size 11 and have reasonably wide feet, have finally given up on these as they are a tad small and narrow for me. One small snag to ankle cuff sealed up with tiger seal. Have always been used with ...

Re: Does anyone sell a mtb bar for converting drop bar to flat bar? - adding reach
Not having a 31.8mm clamp 130-140mm stem readily available, plus not having a normal mtb bar spare that I’m happy with so on the hunt for a bar anyway.
I have tried a koyote before but not on this bike,

Re: WTD: Cheap as chips 700c road rim brake wheels
Defo after 100/130 qr wheels, frame was bent on a jig to open it up from 120. Another reason the 27” I was given don’t work.
I have a deep set of road rim wheels which fit it on from another bike so I’m sure stock rim brake wheels will fit

Does anyone sell a mtb bar for converting drop bar to flat bar? - adding reach
I know many frames have an 'in between' top tube/reach setup in geometry to facilitate being able to run flat or drops with a bit of stem length change here or there. However, on a frame specifically designed for drops (and used with a 90mm stem), im looking for an MTB riser bar that sweeps forward ...

WTD: Cheap as chips 700c road rim brake wheels
Trying to revive my old 50's errands/pub bike of old as someone had given me some 27" wheels FOC. Unfortunately id forgotten that all the parts i had for it were optimised for using 700c wheels in it (long drop calipers etc) and ive only got a freehub style SS kit lying around. Anybody got a su...

Must be a rare breed, in all my years I’ve never seen a fashionable roadie 😂😂😂 There are definitely variation in the cut that Columbia use, however I’ve no idea how to unpick all the models. I’ve got a montrail one which is quite baggy and a titanium which is a tighter cut, it’s not tight fitting th...
