Re: closing national parks, and imposing fines?
Snowdonia has barriered it's car park off to try to stop folk getting up in the hills. I live a couple of miles from the 'border' of it and tbh as much as I'm itching to get back out there but no, I'm staying in. It'll still be there when this sh!te is over...

Why Fatbike?
As I'm stuck inside like most other folk it got me thinking about when I could get out to make my next film. Then again as I've got the time I thought why not put something together with the footage I've already got. So a lot of people ask why do you use a fatbike when a 'normal' bike if fine? Hence...

The goats of the Great Orme in Llandudno have been a bit cheeky the last few weeks. However with no one about to scare them away has this effect. I wonder what other wildlife is enjoying non human contact....?

Re: If we close up for a bit...
My household is currently on day 11 of isolation. Tbh, we've had some of the best meals in the last 2 weeks compared to the last few years. We're ordering online from a local fruit & veg shop, local butchers and the local bakery. When this is all over I'll only be using the big named supermarket...

The cinematography was pretty good tbf.
And who in their right mind would stand in a pool of water not knowing how deep it is when there is clearly vegetation that could be stepped on! D'oh!

Re: Project Virus
Out of interest, who is actually and actively working from home and who's just at home? I've been 'working from home' for the past week. I supposed to be getting Google Classroom ready for my students. However all the resources are already there so hey hoy ;) I have sent the odd email and updated a...

Our household are on day 7 of staying in. One of my teenage boys had a temp and was coughing in school last Wednesday so we got the call to collect all 3 (13, 14 & 16). With that came the 'you have to self isolate for 14 days!'. The boys have been fine since we've been home, so makes you think w...

Re: If we close up for a bit...
Well I said on Tuesday that I'd be quite happily to jump over the Snowdonia wall to get a ride/camp in. However this weekend has seen an influx of visitors in their campervans thinking Snowdonia is a safe haven. It was like a bank holiday by all accounts! https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales...

Jeff, my BiL is a Snowdonia ranger - lived in Bethesda and now in Llanfairfechan - he seems to know all the local farmers and back corners, and he's a bit suspicious of me asking about all the hidden gems in the area. I'll keep pumping him for info and when I'm up in his corner of the world (top en...

Re: Todays ride
There's another crash site next to the stream coming down from the col to the left of The Ladders. There's a small memorial plaque I seem to remember. Yeah I was telling my dad where I went and he told me about the wreckage up there. He knows Snowdonia better than most folk which has been helpful i...

As I'm right on the edge of Snowdonia, I can't see the problem of me just hoping over the wall and enjoying the great outdoors. Yes there's a risk of injuring oneself but I have that risk when walking up the stairs pi$$ed up in the evening. Working in an FE college atm and the feeling is when we wil...

Had a pootle in one of the quieter valleys in Snowdonia yesterday, Cwm Pen-Llafar which is just above Bethesda. Managed to get the drone out too.

I could do with the wind dying down as I've had a drone for over 3 weeks and I'm itching to take it up into the hills of Snowdonia for some altitude footage!

There's plenty of wrecks dotted around here. Its all a bit morbid really but its nice that they've left the wreckage in respect. The small lake below Carnedd Llewellyn, Ffynnon Llyffant is a designated war grave. Loads of big pieces: On a previous film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP0xU8BpYv4&am...

Yeah its a great place and well worth the visit. With reference to the first pic, there's plenty of plane wreckage in the scree slope to the right of the pic. There's 2 big pieces of the engine about the size of a washing machine. More info: https://www.peakdistrictaircrashes.co.uk/crash_sites/wales...

Managed to get out for a couple of hours. Headed to one of my favorite places here in Snowdonia, Eigiau. I followed the old quarry workers track up to the head of the valley, Cwm Eigiau. This is where the slate quarry was which dates back to the mid 1800's so the historic vibe is something else and ...

On the topic of water bottle in the back pocket (clubbing) I was a participant back in the mid/late 90's. Many a night in 051, Cream, Sankeys Soap (Stoke nights), Downton in Rhyl and I even met the Mrs in a local club in Colwyn Bay (that reads well) which was raided every weekend! Maybe that was ou...
