Re: Sand Stone Way
I rode it North to South this summer during my loop of Northumberland and really enjoyed it apart from the pedalling downhill into the rain and head wind parts. You're right about the gate and I skipped a section that ran next to a quiet road, as I was fed up with then and the cow a& shee...

Hey Dave Ref Liverpool https://farm1.staticflickr.com/686/20858391131_cf4208be1f_o.jpg Our route to B will be ok but on main road, and the "Loop Line" north is safe enough to ride on in the morning until about 3pm. As a local I wouldn't ride this after 3pm because of the scally's, people h...

Head to James Street station.
Get in the lift with your bike, catch the next train and head west.
Get off at Hamilton Square
Or take the right train all the way to Chester to get you nearer home and in a better bivi spot in more countryside

18 extra miles to the milk bar seems crazy! It's like an extra hour and a quarter before you get your breakfast ... 'tis just wrong. And on busy narrow winding roads. It's a great link for the Mawddach Trail and anyone riding with Pont Scethin in mind Such as this classic ride http://www.theedgecyc...
