I use maps, yes it slows progress, yes it's a lot more faff, but I find it lets You relate more to your surroundings, part of a trip for me is faffing over the map Beforehand and then interpreting that onto the ground. My eldest bought me a Columbia fleece at Christmas and it's lovely,
I wear it for best though :lol: it's quite retro like the old bobbly fleeces
But so so comfy, this post isn't much help but it's an ace jacket :-bd

Alpinum....I'm so glad you find my post " :grin: " and "silly", it is my opinion and some outdoorsy People are "fat" but obviously not yourself ? I never berated Rab gear, I actually said I liked it But I don't find it fits me, I've always had respect for all your posts...

Ton, I'm edging towards this approach too but looking for a decent
Lightweight quilt to marry with it, I struggle with sciatica whilst sleeping
So a mummy bag is too restrictive, anybody any thoughts on one ?
